To have both ranged cast and the tempest to be the center of AoEs, at the very minimum, just the boons pulses. Would be easy for Anet to balance around that too if it ends up being too strong as is, like decreasing the radius to 240 if needed, or not letting you move much while channeling (Deadeye in sniper mode for example). Really wish they'd give Tempest the option to go ranged, as I don't like Weaver nor Catalyst at all, but never really enjoyed Tempest either due to being a melee only spec.
