((((((AS OF JANTHIR WILDS RELEASE>USE RELIC OF ATROCITY[gw2skills.net is not yet updated with it])

Primary Goals:

  • Stay out of the line of fire and utilize healing allies.
  • Tag with #2 and #3 skills: #2 for burst barrier and protection; #3 for heavy condi applications and Endless Night on allies.
  • Use blast and leap finishers from Shadow Shroud to stealth self/allies with offhand #5 to stealth allies, especially the ally commander.
  • Annoy enemies and force them to keep looking for their prior targets on YOUR allies by breaking target locks/focus.

Skill Usage:

  • Stealth Attack: Disable autoattack while in stealth to prevent forced stealth attacks from #2 and #3 on the scepter, maintaining focus off you.
  • #2 Skill (Shadow Sap): Utilize for burst barrier and protection. Note that it does not provide regeneration. DOES NOT BREAK STEALTH IF USED ON AN ALLY
  • #3 Skill (Endless Night): Apply to allies for quickness and regeneration. DOES NOT BREAK STEALTH IF USED ON AN ALLY
  •
  • Shadowstep: Use to navigate heavy pressure areas and keep up with your group. Combine with Measured Shot for mobility or use with Shadowfall elite skill to zip in, CC, and return to your group.

Autoattack Management:

  • Autoattack Allies/Tag: Maintain sustain using Signet of Malice (passive only, do not activate). The Rotwallow buffs given to allies will trigger passive healing from Larcenous Torment and Signet of Malice, boosted by Relic of Nourys and stacking with regeneration ticks for sustained healing.

Utility Skills:

  • Shadow Refuge: Take if possible. Place it aggressively on pushes or use it to maintain high stealth uptime. Avoid leaving the ring until the house icon/combo ring is gone. It affects unlimited allies and helps break target calling or focus from enemies and prevent pinsniping more often. THE UNLIMITED is only going to work as people run in by 5's or less and out of the other end/side. This is like a pseudo veil. Have them run through the outer border in a straight line which has shorter range to run vs a perfect divided diameter

Shroud Management:

  • Switch to Shroud: Use pistol skill #5 (Black Powder) for quick stealth. You can use skills aggressively if survival is guaranteed, such as when enemies have more downstate/dead allies on their end.

Condition Management:

  • Camp Shroud: Transfer conditions from siphoned targets to yourself, then cleanse them off yourself if you choose the Hungering Darkness trait over Shadestep.

Skill #5 Usage:

  • Buffing Allies: Use Skill #5 to provide stability boon stacks to allies and your siphoned target. Use often.

Stealth Key Allies:

  • Break Target Locks: Annoy enemies and force them to keep looking for their prior targets on YOUR allies by breaking target locks/focus.

Additional Notes:

  • Set up a personal target button and a TAKE personal target for easier management, usually on the ally commander.
  • If you don’t want to port TO an ally, use Endless Night without anyone selected or target the nearest enemy with the closest enemy button, use #3, then take a personal target (if in range) and Endless Night to prevent unwanted port-ins.

This trait on steal will prioritize aegis and ALL STABILITY...use it on necessary targets

Note: Some people may be urged to take wells, I personally disagree due to the downtime despite the resistance which can be easily accessible from other classes, these utilities are more of a stylized play to this type of build. The more you take of this build/similar build the better results on the ally you are siphoning/buffing with the weapon skills and more so with splash off effect on allies around your primary ally.

REMEMBER,  ADD A HOT KEY FOR "SET PERSONAL TARGET" ((golden X Crosshair)) & "TAKE PERSONAL TARGET" DO NOT EVER CALL TARGET ON COMMANDER BECAUSE YOU CANNOT FIND THEM UNLESS IT IS TEMPORARY!

I like the Signet of Malice with Specter dynamic. I wish Larcenous Torment were stronger as is though.

This was the old build but the guide so the original build isn't really changed.  Old post is deleted for this one.  I agree though on larcenous
