What changes to PvE Warclaw will we see right away?

I know a lot of people have the Warclaw unlocked, and I've seen what we can do with them once the mastery line is filled. I'm not all that clear on what we'll see change about them if we don't buy JW, or if we hop on one before we can start unlocking the mastery line.

I guess I have two related questions. What changes will we see to the Warclaw if we have it unlocked but do not have JW? And what changes will we see if we have it unlocked and have JW, but have yet to start on the mastery?

Is it just me or is the Warclaw already moving a bit faster and more agilely when in Armstice Bastion? Feels like they have redone the animations or something.
