Homestead: "Too many decorations in this area" ... I knew homesteads were too good to be true.

So I too have just hit the 'Too many decorations in an area' cap. Hoping it's a bug, popped in a report but if it's the case that it's a limitation... my plans are in shreds 😕 A good 75% of my Homestead I can't now build in...

I can understand a general instance limit, for financial purposes if nothing else, but a chunk limit makes no sense.

It's a personal instance, if I wanna make miniature everything and have a custom chess board with those miniatures in my kitchen table let me, if my home instance runs at 5 FPS over those miniatures it's my private home instance so it's my problem alone.

Homestead has given me a reason to invest my time back into the game  for fun but with the new limitations ,this really has taken the wind out of my sails to continue.For me its the limit for decorations in a chunk. its really been messing with  my ability to create a vision i have, spent over 500g in homestead crafting materials . I just hope that we do not have to wait until their next release in a few months before this is fixed. This should be treated as a system bug and be fixed as soon as possible.

Exciting news all, reply back from support suggesting that this IS a bug and not a feature. They have recommended that anyone with the same issue submit an IN GAME bug report explaining the 'too much decor' issue. They have a number of reports so far and are looking into it 🙂

Support are awesome, they don't get enough praise.

Shaman (that_Shaman) on Twitter has done a bit of science for us and worked out the actual limits to the decor/area, well worth checking out.

Just to clarify, support didn't say it WAS a bug only that they have received other bug reports and are investigating. I'm hopeful as the main livestream def said NO limit (except on lighting) but I just wanted to be clear so that the nice people at support don't get in trouble if it is intended.

While I agree that raising the limit would be beneficial for Homesteaders, I am scared at the same time that they will break more things if they keep modifying the numbers. A lot of stuff got deleted from my Guild Hall when Homesteads were introduced and object limits were altered.

Seeing as all the decorating is tied together, there is a good chance more already decorated placed will get ruined, forcing people to rebuild things they had already spent years to create. 😕

If it's a choice between forever being limited in what I can place in an area or having to rebuild that part of my homestead there's no choice to be made there, I'd happily rebuild. 

At this moment in time I'm just hoping for AN answer. If it's that the limit won't be changed then I'll be disappointed (and my personal view of the mode will have gone down) but fair enough. I'll have to destroy some of my Homestead but at least I can move on... as it stands a lot of us are in limbo with half built structures awaiting an answer.

This right here is exactly where i'm at too. Recieved an email from the GM stating that their QA is looking into the bug reports, The impression that i got is that they're on it but i dont think this will be coming any time soon, it'll probably be around the next release. Their are too many bugs with the system for them to release all homestead related hotfixes sporadically so it'll probably all come in a bigger patch. now this is just a guess.

my only concern is that nothing changes with the next big patch,that will be dissapointing.
