Soilder.3607 Posted December 30, 2017 Share Posted December 30, 2017 If you enter Beastmode with the Smokescale pet, you should notice that the two unique skills it grants you, Takedown and Smoke Assault, will always list the same exact damage value in their tooltip. Therefore, each strike with these skills should deal roughly the same amount of damage. However, this is not the case. Smoke Assault is consistently doing around half the damage as its tooltip would suggest.Notice the damage difference in the combat log. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You see, Takedown clearly does 1164 damage against the light golem, while smoke assault does 600-700, all critical. These skills, once again, share the same exact tooltip value. Since Trait Procs could have happened on the Takedown but been absent on the Smoke Assault, because the Smoke Assault Numbers are pretty normal. The only traitline which gives me a damage boost is SB, but I have no fury, and I wait for twice as vicious to end before I cast Smoke Assault.https://imgur.com/a/hNdpThttps://i.imgur.com/7KDg0KF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/TSzEJGO.jpgTakedown does 398 damage, Smoke Assault 270 on first hit. 270 is ~67% of 398.
