Need help with my charater styles

Recommended Posts

I think the hat works nicely with the rest of the outfit. I don't really like it with the goggles, though. They obscure the face, and I wasn't sure what I was looking at for a second. The colors seem to mesh well together. Looking closer, the beige-ish color on the hat and in the eyes seems lighter than on the rest of the outfit.

That's amazingly similar to the colour scheme I've picked out for my new asuran engineer (Heirloom or Black Cherry red, Midnight Rust brown and Redemption gold). I haven't decided on armour skins for him yet, but he's going to be a Holomancer so I'm thinking something glowy.

I like the armour you've picked out, although if you're role-playing him you might want to progress to something not associated with the Inquest eventually. But I agree with Edleweiss that the goggles hide his face too much. Have you considered the Engineer's Eagle-eye goggles?

I see that people are mostly looking at my engineer so I thought of just putting the rest of my character styles I came up with on hereVibidia Ripfirre: gw2style.com/look.php?id=14949Hyreki Cherrywhirl: gw2style.com/look.php?id=14947Damiana Spalla: gw2style.com/look.php?id=14946Ragnar Grimolfrson: gw2style.com/look.php?id=14945Ron Levron: gw2style.com/look.php?id=14944Snaeulf the Hero: gw2style.com/look.php?id=14943Sun Fang:gw2style.com/look.php?id=14928

Oh, I didn't realise there was more than 1 character on there. I've never used that site before and didn't see any links to other images.

I think you'd find the Wiki's armour gallery useful. If you go to this page there's links on the right side which let you see every armour set on every race/gender, and the link above the picture takes you to a page which tells you how you can get it.

Here's a few comments/bits of into on each character:

Vibidia Ripfirre: Those gloves are the Weaver's Antipodes, you get them for completely training the Elementalists Weaver specialisation in PoF. The Tribal armour set is only available from PvP or WvW reward tracks unfortunately. But I recommend trying the WvW one, it's relatively easy to progress it even if you're not good at WvW. Be aware though the reward box only gives 1 piece, so you'd have to repeat the reward track 5 times to get all the pieces there. It might be easier to just get the chest and legs and use other pieces for the rest.

(Thanks for posting this by the way, I didn't know about those gloves but they'd be perfect for my elementalist, even though she's a Tempest and not a Weaver.)

Hyreki Cherrywhirl: The Krytan Jerkin and Viper's Leggings are both gemstore armour sets, so you would have to pay for those. The Leystone Leggings could work as a free alternative to the Viper's though - it's shorts rather than a skirt, but otherwise looks similar. For shoes I'd recommend the Carapace boots, but they're my favourite medium boots so I might be biased.

Damiana Spalla: I love this one! Really good job combining pieces from different sets to create something that looks like it belongs together!

Ragnar Grimolfrson: Have you considered the Primitive Mantle? The skulls aren't quite the same but it's the closest I know of that doesn't include bulky armour. There's also the Deathly Bull's Mantle, but that's quite expensive (unless you're lucky enough to get one from a Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock).

Ron Levron: I'd go with the top picture personally, because I think it's a much more unusual look for a thief and it does look badass. Just so you know however that coat comes from the Arah dungeon, so you'll need to do quite a few dungeon paths, or the WvW/PvP reward track, to get it.

Snaeulf the Hero: I love the idea of a character designed to look like a wannabe hero! I also think you've done a good job with him. My only suggestion would be to tone down the blue a bit. Maybe something like Frost Breeze or Winter Breeze.

Sun Fang: I strongly recommend you experiment with different red and orange dyes. A lot of dyes in this game add texture or extra shades when applied to certain pieces and that seems to be especially true for the red and orange dyes. It might take a lot of tweaking, and saving up for some more expensive dyes, but I think you could get some great effects on that armour with the right colours.
