Anyone else's tomes ending prematurely for no apparent reason?

I've noticed lately that, seemingly at random, my tomes will end/stow despite having multiple pages left and without me actually pushing any buttons. Another weird thing that I've noticed and that might be related is that the boon icons for the tomes/virtues to the right of the hp orb look like they are refreshing or resetting at random and all at once.

I only have problems when i press f1,2,3 they dont activate tomes at that time so i press once more and it activate then deactivate that tome....which sucks.
