I cant get through the Story Instance to get to Crystal Desert because it keeps DCing me at Fire part when you have to put out the fires. is there another way to get to the new zone?

If your Guild has the Windswept Haven you can go there and exit to Dominion of Vabbi but unless you have a mount or a WP in Crystal Desert, you will be walking for a very long time! You can also use a TP to friend or you can use the Lilly of the Elon retreat pass that came with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions. Otherwise you cannot get there without the story.

I would suggest running using the 2 links below to repair GW2. If these 2 links do not work, then I would log a ticket to the team. Normally when ppl ask me about similar issues, I suggest ppl use the first link and run Anet's Game Advisor to see if that fixes the issue. If not, then I suggest they use the second link to repair the game client. Usually 1 or these 2 links solves the problem and don't forget to restart your internet modem/router as well.

You can also try a VPN; some have had success doing so.

Oh, and make sure you are using the 64-bit client; that's imperative.
