funghetto.1584 Posted July 12, 2018 Share Posted July 12, 2018 hello anet especially.as discussion title is tooltips are still worth to show them?when the ranger skill of shortbow says in the tip damage "288" and then hits players in wvw with a range from 200 to 1000 or mobs in pve with a range from 300 to 1500 - is tooltips are still worth to show them?if you see a tooltip of "malicious backstab" saying fomr your wikiFront damage: 440 (1.2)Back damage: 880 (2.4)Bonus Damage per Malice: 10%Range: 130and get hit for 15000 in wvw?regards Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
KrHome.1920 Posted July 13, 2018 Share Posted July 13, 2018 When you know the formula how damage is calculated, you are also able to interpret the tooltips correctly.Your example:A multiplier of 2.4 results in about 2400 base damage on a 2600 armored target, when you are in full ascended zerk gear (Level 80). That's enough transparency to me. When you add your classes trait- and skill-multipliers and critical damage you get your real world damage. (The Might boon is already included in the tooltip value.)
