tooltips are still worth to show them?

Recommended Posts

hello anet especially.

as discussion title is tooltips are still worth to show them?

when the ranger skill of shortbow says in the tip damage "288" and then hits players in wvw with a range from 200 to 1000 or mobs in pve with a range from 300 to 1500 - is tooltips are still worth to show them?

if you see a tooltip of "malicious backstab" saying fomr your wiki

Front damage: 440 (1.2)Back damage: 880 (2.4)Bonus Damage per Malice: 10%Range: 130

and get hit for 15000 in wvw?

regards

When you know the formula how damage is calculated, you are also able to interpret the tooltips correctly.

Your example:A multiplier of 2.4 results in about 2400 base damage on a 2600 armored target, when you are in full ascended zerk gear (Level 80). That's enough transparency to me.

When you add your classes trait- and skill-multipliers and critical damage you get your real world damage. (The Might boon is already included in the tooltip value.)
