Did you confirm the hosts edit by using:

127.0.0.1 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com

... causing GW2 to fail to connect? After confirming it, change 127.0.0.1 to 34.239.19.127, save, then launch GW2.

Your log file is showing the file it's stuck on is due to the download being incomplete, which has generally been a problem with the patch server, so using a working one should fix it. You can try downloading the file you're stuck on in your browser to confirm it's the expected size:http://origincdn.101.arenanetworks.com/program/101/1/0/2269657 (76.7 MB / 80,437,920 bytes). If it's not, either other software or your ISP is the cause.

Hi thank you for answering!I have tried with 127.0.0.1 which gives me an error at the start of the launcher and then changing it to 34.239.19.127 and 52.202.245.40 which should be the current correct IP's but sadly doesnt seem to change anything. What exactly do you mean by confirming if its the expected size?

Download file #2269657 (76.7 MB). When finished, right click it > properties and confirm the file size is 80,437,920 bytes. If you can download it through your browser with the expected size, the problem is caused by other software interfering with GW2. If you can't, it could also be caused by your ISP, which would require using a VPN.

-

To confirm the hosts edit is applied, the line in your hosts file should be:34.239.19.127 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com

Open a command prompt (search start for cmd) and enter:ping assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com

It should show the same IP as in the hosts file:"Pinging assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com [34.239.19.127]..."(it won't respond to pings, so expect the requests to time out)

-

If you didn't do this already, with the hosts edit applied, delete Local.dat (under %appdata%/Guild Wars 2, and optionally under Documents/Guild Wars 2), then launch GW2 using:-log -image -patchconnections 1

Confirm the log is still showing the same problem (Invalid Content-Range HTTP response for: 0x0022a1d9(u)...)

-

For a quick test, press WindowsKey+R and open:ncpa.cpl

This should bring up your available network connections. Right click your primary connection (with internet access) and select properties. Uncheck "QoS Packet Scheduler" and click OK. Try launching GW2 now. If it's still stuck, open the properties again and uncheck "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" (or check it if it was already unchecked), then OK. Try launching GW2 again. Return these options to what they were when you're done.

-

To rule out most other software, open a command prompt as an administrator (search start for cmd, right click > run as admin) and enter:

netsh winsock resetnetsh int ip reset

Open msconfig (WindowsKey+R, open: msconfig), select the boot tab, check safe boot with network under it, then ok and reboot to enter safe mode. Once in safe mode, confirm you still have internet access, then delete Local.dat and try launching GW2. To return to normal, open msconfig and uncheck safe boot.

I'm not sure what i've done but now the launcher seems to stay at 100%.

The file's size is exactly 80.437.920 bytes.

if i do ping assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com it comes out as Pinging drwkwiejruot6.cloudfront.net [13.227.220.23]

this is the last log right before it started working:00001900: Debug: WebBrowser: Skipping file CoherentUI_Host.exe00001901: Debug: WebBrowser: Skipping file CoherentUI64.dll00002182: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 8960 | 932 05:25:28.109530 [8960:932:ERROR:resource_bundle.cc(528)] Failed to load C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\bin64\ui_resources_100_percent.pakSome features may not be available.00002182: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 8960 | 932 05:25:28.124490 [8960:932:WARNING:resource_bundle.cc(252)] locale_file_path.empty()00002697: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 8960 | 4952 05:25:28.686986 [1504:636:ERROR:resource_bundle.cc(528)] Failed to load C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\bin64\ui_resources_100_percent.pakSome features may not be available.00002697: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 8960 | 4952 05:25:28.686986 [1504:636:WARNING:resource_bundle.cc(252)] locale_file_path.empty()00002822: Debug: Coherent Warning: PID: 8960 | 932 05:25:28.791705 Requesting resource read for coui://web/launcher/arenanet/images/mini-dragon.raw.png with internal id 6 reported FAIL00002872: Debug: Web Message (launcher.js:2): onShowLauncher00002872: Debug: Web Message (launcher.js:2): onSetPreferences00002872: Debug: Web Message (launcher.js:2): onSetLanguage00002872: Debug: Web Message (launcher.js:2): onDownloadComplete

After doing this for the 8th time it somehow seemed to work:

If you didn't do this already, with the hosts edit applied, delete Local.dat (under %appdata%/Guild Wars 2, and optionally under Documents/Guild Wars 2), then launch GW2 using:-log -image -patchconnections 1

Confirm the log is still showing the same problem (Invalid Content-Range HTTP response for: 0x0022a1d9(u)...)

it's strange that it somehow seems to work now compared to last times.

Thank you so much for your help. You have been very helpful!
