Best Build for Hammer Guard?

In either pvp or pve, I play both significantly and I love the hammer. I just feel im not doing the kind of damage im supposed to with proper hammer builds.

I think this FireBrand variant is actually a little better for open world PvE than the old DragonHunter Hammer build:gw2skills.net/editor/?vVIQFASnsADFBjFCBuCBEEhl4BD7CEF2C7v0aaPtKA8AKAA-jxRBAB3o+D/7P8wDAAgLAgZKBvS5He6AEFQgB-e(I prefer shattered aegis because it helps the kill speed fighting normal mobs, but against vets/elites/champs or in dungeons you should take Symbolic Avenger instead)

You trade away a good chunk of +damage modifiers and Procession of Blades.But in return you get way more Quickness up-time and a lot more Aegis applications as well as a better activator for Protector's Impact. You also have a better source of Swiftness/Stability from Tome of Courage if you need it. I think it actually comes out slightly ahead in dps solo, and way ahead if you're in a group.

But I have no idea if it'd be any good for PvP. Probably not.

Combinated with 5-4 of the tome of resolve...The hammer gives a lil sustain (you'll stack 2 symbols with quickness) and perma protection.

I'd like a comeback of guardhammers party, spamming AA and "feel my wrath". That was really fun how we smahed fractals 50.

I use this in open world & fractals and It's really easy to carry a group, no one dies and you can tank without problem. This is a pve variation of the well known Radiance Hammer build.
