Nymaz.4859 Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 My internet provider (TMo) only gives me IPv6. This usually isn't much of a problem (though I do experience occasional "failed to connect, check your connection" when zoning and have to flush my DNS cache and reboot to fix), but as of today I'm not able to get past the initial check for updates when starting the client.Test shows no response from the various servers:PS C:\Windows\system32> ping auth1.101.ArenaNetworks.comPinging auth1.101.ArenaNetworks.com [2607:7700:0:18:0:1:22ed:1441] with 32 bytes of data:Request timed out.Request timed out.Request timed out.Request timed out.Ping statistics for 2607:7700:0:18:0:1:22ed:1441:Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),PS C:\Windows\system32> ping auth2.101.ArenaNetworks.comPinging auth2.101.ArenaNetworks.com [2607:7700:0:18:0:1:239e:af14] with 32 bytes of data:Request timed out.Request timed out.Request timed out.Request timed out.Ping statistics for 2607:7700:0:18:0:1:239e:af14:Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),PS C:\Windows\system32> ping cligate.101.NCPlatform.netPinging cligate.101.NCPlatform.net [64:ff9b::12cd:763e] with 32 bytes of data:Request timed out.Request timed out.Request timed out.Request timed out.Ping statistics for 64:ff9b::12cd:763e:Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),Note I have no issue reaching any other location on the net, including this forum obviously.Any information or recommendations?
TheQuickFox.3826 Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 I can't ping them on IPv4 either. And I'm in GW2 now without problems.Maybe the server or network administrator disabled pinging these hosts.
