New player finds personal story level req boring and confusing

I believe that was my issue when I initially played and I couldn't understand if my weapons, armor, skill or all them were lacking or I was missing something and it really turned me off for a very long time.  Even trying other classes thinking maybe I just didn't understand that mechanics and ran into the same issue lol
