Name lockout time?

I am thinking of buy the game on Steam when it comes out and i want to use the name of one of the characters on my old account. Do anyone know for how long the names are locked if I rename or delete a character before I can use it on another account?

The exact time is probably on the wiki somewhere but IIRC it was 24 hours. Maybe 20.

I'm pretty sure it's 24 hours, and from the time you delete the character, not a fixed daily reset. So if you write down the time you delete them and make sure you're online at the same time the next day you'll be able to get it as soon as it becomes available.

Although I frequently re-use names, with gaps of weeks or months in between where they're available to other players and they're rarely taken, so I think unless you have reason to believe you've got an especially in-demand name you probably don't need to worry too much about someone getting it right away.
