Stuck between Tier 1 and Tier 2 for precursor Storm

Good morning.

I finished the first tier task for the precursor Storm. The dialogue/hint says "Speak to a Master Artificer to discover the art of woodworking" and the https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Art_of_Woodworking:_Scepter_Core_Edition says to "Trade the following items to a Master Artificer."

I did make the series of scepter core items (green, all the way up to spiritwood). I am not getting any prompt from the Master Artificer to trade. What is the next step I'm supposed to do? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

I have this problem every time. I find myself always confused about the next step.

  • Make sure you have 5 of each type of the correct standard cores, 1 of the ascended.
  • Make sure you're speaking to the Master Artificer near an Artificer station, not one of the other NPCs
  • Double check your achievement to make sure that (a) you don't already have credit for this step and (b) you do have credit for the previous steps.

And amazingly, this often works:

  • Give up for today.
  • Come back to it tomorrow.

That really shouldn't matter, but sometimes after a night of rest (or reckless excess), what was opaque today becomes obvious tomorrow.

Good luck & please let us know how it works out (or share some screens so we can see if we can help you spot "what's wrong with this picture").

  1. "I need artificing supplies."
  2. "I have some questions about artificing."

Aside: I can see the option to include an image URL, but not how to add a screenshot - sorry! (color me continually clueless)

Is the "Meteorlogicus II: The Perfected Scepter" collection actually unlocked?

Thanks, @"Khisanth.2948" ! Attached are some screenshots. The first step listed on the wiki for this tier is this: https://imgur.com/QJbpuHwThe only options I get from Master Artificer: https://imgur.com/0MS86ZYNo, Meteorlogicus II: The Perfected Scepter" is not unlocked. https://imgur.com/S3Zsuij This step is listed as the 2nd to last step for the tier on the wiki.

Regardless of what I'm supposed to do, I realized I'm 50 Memory of Battle shy of making a Scepter Rod. Guess you know what I'll be doing for a while.

If "Meteorlogicus II: The Perfected Scepter" is not unlocked then it means you need to craft the Storm Experiement.

The order of the items do not necessarily have much meaning. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they are grouped together because they are a bunch of related items that need to be done in order but the groups themselves can be done in any order. It depends.

You can buy 50 Memories of Battle for 3.5g-4g.

@donavan.7602 said:Thanks you very much, @"Khisanth.2948" . I completed Storm Experiment, and it opened up Meteorlogicus II: The Perfect Scepter. I'm on my way again!Excellent! Thanks for the update.

Note to self: just buy one off TP and go for the double legendary achievement versus this insane obstacle course of materials.I always recommend people buy directly unless they find the 'insane obstacle course" a fun sort of thing to do. You can sometimes save 50 or 150 gold (sometimes even more), but for those that hate every minute of that, I think it's better to spend the extra coin. The game is supposed to be fun and saving 100 gold much fun if you have to pull your hair out (especially if you're bald to start with).

@Illconceived Was Na.9781 , I value every follicle!

Further update - I've blasted through the Bandit Crests, Geodes, and Karka Shells for the respective Magic components. Now the pain of 100 Obsidian Shards.
