First time player here! I was just wondering if you guys can suggest some websites that will help me better understand this game. I came from WoW, BFA is just a total nightmare of boring, so I thought I would give this game a try. Icey Veins and WoWhead were a treasure trove of info on World of Warcraft and I was wondering if GW2 has anything like that? I have a ton of questions but I feel better off reading on how to learn this game and if I still am confused, then post of the forum.

Thanks!

The Wiki (link above) is a treasure-trove of information on all thing Guild Wars 2.There's an Online Manual (GuildWars2.com link - Services - Online Manual) or https://manual.guildwars2.com/en and an extended online manual accessed through the Wiki. There's this overview, as well: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/

Welcome to Tyria, and good luck.

Gw2efficiency.com for account details and stats and other things

GW2skills for a build editor and explanation of combo effects and such

my own personal advice:Take the time to make characters and take them to PvP lobby, even if you're level 2, the pvp lobby will unlock everything like skills and traits and boost your character to 80..So its a great way to try classes.

@"Inculpatus cedo.9234" provides always helpful replies :) I didn't know about the online manual! It seems well done, with gif. I would definitely also recommend the wiki.(In addition, you can also open the wiki from the in-game chat, if you type /wiki before the name of the item/info you're looking for).

About the PvP lobby, I think you must first reach a certain level (maybe 21 or similar?) with your first character, then it will become available after your next characters reach lv2 (although the PvP panel will be still hidden, so you must use a shortcut). It's useful to try all the classes/professions, before choosing which one you want to play, if you have few character slots. But imo, take your time to learn a bit the game and unlock the PvP lobby normally first. The http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/[editor](http:// "editor") is useful if you want to read the description of all the skills/traits for example.

EDIT: it seems lv80 (on your first character) to unlock the PvP panel. I thought earlier.
