Damage in this game stacks exponentially at the top end. Mid range gimping will not get you close to top tier performance, it will give you barely mid range decent performance. Can't even see what you're hitting and you didn't target the enemy so no idea what class.That veteran supervisor hacks I think. He turns invul a lot too.
