Saving Multiple Account Passwords

Recommended Posts

Hi Anet,

Support for storing credentials for multiple accounts was recently removed. Is there an alternative or new method to save account login credentials for switching between them?

I am currently playing on 9 accounts, and it's quite painful to retype the login credentials each time I wish to switch. I used to happily switch between accounts using the -email -password -nopatchui args, or falling back to duplication of the Local.dat files per account, but that is no longer an option.

You can still use multiple Local.dat files, which is where the email and password is stored. If that's all you want, here's the simple script:https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/comment/808072/#Comment_808072

Oddly, when i Log into the second account, the backup of the first Local.dat stops working. Might be a MacOS issue?

with a single account I can create the Local.dat backup, and delete and recover as many times as I like, but once I create a new Local.dat file for a different account, the previously working copy fails to authenticate, citing an incorrect password. Without the -autologin option, I can see that the username and password is correctly populated, but fails to authenticate.
