  1. As individual pieces? No, they won't make a huge difference. As a set, they do make some difference IF you are good at playing the class wearing it. There are some advantages, It's account bound so can be shared among any characters using that armor type. I happen to like the classes that wear light armor so it will make sense for me to eventually craft a set for those. Secondly, the stats can be changed for whatever is optimal for the style of play you're using. Need Berserker? Great? Need Viper on a different character? No problem and it's best in class no matter what spec. Finally, you get infusions which make it even better. You can start a set of accesories buy purchasing those for Laurels. Power/Precision/Ferocity are such common stats for competitive builds that it makes sense to get a set of those.
  2. At least with a Ranger you can set your pet to passive mode. As a Necromancer, my minions do this regularly. If I'm close, I just go kill whatever it is and if not, well they are on their own and I can always summon them fresh. You might want to consider an Elementalist if you want a serious challenge. Go for Tempest spec first once you hit 80 by farming the hero points in Path of fire. You'll be able to learn the easier rotation and be in a position to farm hero points in Heart of Thorns for Weaver. The rotations for the latter are mostly difficult to learn but you can either do some of the highest DPS in the game or some of the better support for groups in the game with it. Mess up and you'll get spanked because it's also (usually) the squishiest class in the game as well.
  3. It seems a little silly to time gate it when the entire story can be done in well under 2 hours. I want to get it since it will come in handy for Heart of Thorns which I just recently got (assuming it works there). It could be worse. There's a mount in WoW that I got when I was playing that that took at least 29 days to get doing the same stupid collection quests every day. 5 days at least shouldn't be too bad. I know how many mastery points it'll need so any more than that will now go to my roller beetle which I've been holding off doing the masteries for.
  4. Seriously? I'd have rather had it cost 250, because then I'd simply have spent time gold farming before starting the content so I could get the mount in time to use the mount for it. The biggest issue is not being able to start training the masteries. Knowing it's gated like that means I may just do the collections and do as little else as possible so there's enough experience to get the masteries when they are unlocked.
  5. I'm glad she's back. I think the time between episodes made the way they did this more acceptable, but another trip to the spirt realm to bring her back would have been better. After all, the commader has died and came back so guiding her back from there would have been an interesting start. The part I actually found a little jolting was her suddenly being able to talk. Just how did that work? I think I'd have preffered to have her continue to speak dragon with Caithe translating as needed. If she was going to talk, couldn't they have used some sort of voice morpher to make her sound a little less human and a little less....well....chummy? Her goals allign with the rest of the group, but not necessarily for the same reasons. She's a dragon and now a more mature one.
