  1. For a long time, I hadn't bothered purchasing most of the Dragon's End Legendary recipes. I mostly focused on building up materials instead, until about a week ago. I figured I had collected plenty materials and started buying the recipes. I bought about 6 or 7 of them, then started clicking on them to learn the recipes. It said that one (the Dragon axe) that I had bought I already knew! I'm not sure if I found it as a treasure from a kill, or I had bought it before I decided to hold off on buying the recipes, or what. But I found I was unable to sell the recipe back to the merchant I had just bought it from. Why is this not allowed in the game? Those recipes are quite expensive, it would have been nice to sell that one back to the vender and chosen another one. I know that in this case it was my fault for not watching more carefully to see the red lettered "You already know this recipe", but I didn't think I knew any of them yet and I got sloppy. But I feel merchants should buy back the items they sell to you, even if there is a bit of a loss incurred for the player's mistake for doing so.
  2. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I received a Pact Fleet Weapon box reward while replaying a season 2 mission. It offered either 6 Mystic Coins or 1 pact fleet weapon skin. I was originally going to take the coins, but upon looking at the price of the skins on the Trader, they were more valuable than the 6 coins. So I chose the Pistol skin (It was the most valuable, and I was planning to list it for sale. But upon getting it, I found out the skin was Account bound! What the heck? Other people are selling the skins online, why is mine Account bound? Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but Boxes like the REALLY NEED to say up front that the item you choose will be Account Bound before you make the choice. Since it was also offering 6 mystic coins, and the skins were available for sale at the Trader, I figured the choice would not be Account bound.
  3. I also still need the "Save Sylvari" part, though I've done the whole event several times.
  4. Same issue here for the last few days. I can't look at the gem store without it crashing the game. I can still list items for sale and pick up any money received from sales, just not look at any gem store items.
  5. Why not allow Tomes of Mentorship to increase the character's WvW rank/level? That is an independent number from the character level, and for me it's a fair bit harder to quickly and easily increase in rank. I have 20+ Tomes of Mentorship sitting in my bags and I'd love to trade them in for WvW ranks.
  6. I strongly agree with the sentiment that most of the hammer skills should all affect the same range across the elements. 600 is a good range, and fire already works that way. Earth, Air, and Water should also generally affect targets at 600 range. As it is, if you are getting damaged and need to swap to Water for better healing abilities, suddenly your attacks are only melee range. Same with Earth. But you need to swap between attunements because your skill 3 only builds up 1 ball per element. This build screams "SWAP ATTUNEMENTS", but punishes you for doing so by having different ranges for each element's abilities! Elementalist was my first class in GW2, and one of my favorites before now (along with Necro), but I find the Catalyst as it currently is just incredibly frustrating and infuriating.
  7. I tested it out for a bit. I didn't have any of the issues that have been reported here, but it did slow my game down a few times (the sandstorm in Dry Top and the snowstorm in Bitterfrost, mostly.) It feels like my camera can spin around my character much easier, so much easier that it's almost distracting. I didn't really see any extra features or graphical wow to justify using it, but I'll try a bit more and see if I can see any. (I normally run at ultra-high graphics setting though, and that may be the cause of the slow-downs I mentioned and my not noticing new graphic elements from DX11)
  8. I had figured the decision to fix this issue may take a while, but I finally decided to check it again today in game after getting my 2 Gold for the dailies... I was very happy to see that my minions reappeared after dismounting! Thank you Anet.
  9. Actually achwas, I believe I also noticed that my elementalist had any summoned elementals vanish and go on cool down upon mounting. It's not as big an issue with them, as the elementals are not permanent like Necro minions, nor are they the key to an entire class build, but it still removes them upon mounting. I believe it used to just hide them for any remaining duration they had if you mounted, just like the Necro.
  10. Especially since I never experienced any issue with it before they removed the feature, nor have I heard of any issues...
  11. So ANET brought back the Festival of the Four Winds and put out a "Tempest Cape skin" today, but still nothing about this situation. I also never got any reply from my bug report about it, where as they did respond previously when I had an issue. I can't help but wonder if the "bug/issue" that caused this change was someone that works at ANET was repeatedly killed by a Minion-Mancer Necro (or a group of them) riding in on mounts, jumping off to attack him, and that caused a mass of minions to suddenly appear around him and he didn't know who to attack (maybe he got some sudden lag from the appearance of the bunch of minions?) Rather than filing an official company report and going through proper channels, maybe he became so angry that he just changed the game code to de-summon minions and put them on cooldown after dismounting, and then only released a tweet about it? The above may just be a fanciful idea created entirely in my own mind, but given the total lack of ANET's official statements and response to this situation, I have nothing better to go on. I know I never encountered any actual "bug" when dismounting as a Necro with Minions. I also never heard of anyone who did. C'mon ANET, tell your customers (who I assume you want to buy your new expansion) why you crippled a favorite character build for no apparent reason, and what you are going to do about it? If the sudden appearance of so many new characters on screen causes the game to crawl for a few moments if you have a lower end computer, what about reducing the image quality of minions a little bit (especially just after dismounting?) Or if you REALLY want to keep the de-summon all minions when mounting, have dismounting remove the cooldown and leaves then ready to cast again? For myself, I've been using different Necro skills instead, but I haven't crafted new Ascended armor/gear to fully optimize the other builds yet, so I feel like I'm playing with 1 arm tied behind my back... very frustrating! I'm also using my no-Necro characters more instead (I have at least 1 character of every class and race).
  12. I too reported this as a bug because after they just fixed the problem of minions being dispelled if you entered water, I couldn't believe that this was an actual change. I never saw or heard anything about it on the list of changes for the month, or heard about it from GW2 Youtubers. I never got any reply to my bug report, so I decidede to search on these forums for some kind of answer. Like so many others have said, I don't have a Twitter account and never read that garbage. If that was the only place this change was announced, just how much thought was actually put into it? Necro had always been my favorite class in GW2 for the past 9 years, and Minion Master was one of my favorite builds for it for a long time. I liked not having to constantly resummon them every 90-120 seconds, they just stayed until killed. No more. Now after every time I mount up and then dismount, they are all on cooldown and all need to be resummoned again. This is a TERRIBLE change!!! Please change it back to the way it was (minions disappear when mounted, but automatically reappear when you dismount).
  13. I have completed 27 of the 28 flight missions to get the mount, and on the Desolation map, it isn't working. It says in the glowing golden circle where you call the skyscale that it is "Completed", but it hasn't rewarded the saddle part for that map. I have have found (all?) 3 rifts in the Desolation, and they all say "completed" and calling a skyscale and flying it into the nearest rift and hovering there does nothing because the game thinks I already have the Desolation completed.
