  1. You're not selling the game to 10 players that you think deserve any input because this is what you like to hear and making any profit off of it. This is not how business works. If you're paying for something, you've right to complain, if it is not to your liking. Even more so if you've to pay upfront and the content is not what was expected. It's not because people want to destroy the game or the company or the devs themselves. Being respectful has nothing to do with how the game is. They are paying for a product and expecting what they have paid for – which is probably enjoyment for most of people – or at least clear communication for any possible changes. Imagine paying for a suit with shoes for an important party you're having at a specific date. You're promised it will be black, very soft fabric and embroidered with special patterns and details on the specific occasion you're celebrating and that you were talking with the tailors for hours to get perfect. But then it arrives – and it's missing the thread and embroidery, so it's basically just a bunch of pieces of black cloth. They tell you "Yeah, sorry, we know we sent it to you like this, but you can pick up the thread at our store 100km from you and we'll sew it for you there or send it back and we'll send it back to you in 2-3 months, all sewn! Oh and it was fully intended that we sent it like this btw, we know you've been waiting for that party, so have a nice trip 😉". So what are you doing? Moving the party you've been waiting for so long, prepping all the foods, drinks, place to a date 2-3 months later or going to pick it up, regretting that you've spent so much time on all this design and talks, and it's not even gonna be ready, and you have to go get it yourself anyway?
  2. Yeah okay where exactly is this in the item description? It only has a name and Account Bound on Acquire written on it. It's not even Gift of Inner Nayos Lanterns. There is clearly lack of communication on Anet's part, if it was intended to be the Lantern way, since they themselves encouraged players to start working on the armor earlier (p.e. News post). The previous way of getting gifts from maps was completing the maps AND THEN the lanterns for an alternate way of completing the map AFTER they were unlocked in the first place. But now the map is not complete and we're getting Lanterns. This is a change of pattern and it is unannounced, how can one expect another to predict this? If Anet is adding the Legendary armor itself into the game, one would expect all the usual ways of getting the necessary items will be available and if not or not in the same way – given the notice before. Which is literally very not hard, even a News post would do. Especially since doing part of map completion is something one can do in preparation and the preparation was encouraged! Maps like Bjora gave full rewards for 1 half, what is the point of keeping the Gift of Inner Nayos from players for doing map completion and offering it in a different way, when the Gift is necessary for something that has already released?? You could always move the rewards after full map was completed to give them for full map completion, as it is with p.e. Bjora. But for most players it's not even the fact that we're not getting it for map completion of yet not completed map. It's the lack of communication about how it will work. If people knew they will need to wait for the even next update to get the Gift with map completion and that they will have to run some part of it with 6/12/18 characters/times again, they would have simply not spent the time on this and did something else, probably still in the game, that they enjoy. Now it is a wasted time. A very non-client friendly design.
  3. The thing is, the first part of the map gave only mere 8k exp. No other map rewards, unlike p.e. Bjora.
  4. Sorry, not used to calling it this way. But yes, it does. And it's way too much effort for 1 gift, lanterns are quicker.
  5. If you mean Repeat Defanger, then sorry to disappoint, but no, repeating meta doesn't give more than doing the first meta, just a yellow side chest from final boss. There are Gifts of Inner Nayos from story and map achievments but that's only 2... And not having a reward for full map comp - not only the Gift, but also tc/key chance... Why?
  6. I've been chasing Twilight Striker for so long, giving up and picking up my attempts, fishing in Kessex and whatnot, and this is just... 3rd fish on 2nd dusk/dawn in Sandswept, with 3 tips on fishing, and I finally got it. Can't thank you enough, even if it was just ridiculous RNG roll, it happened there. Cod Swimming Amongst Mere Minnows finally.
  7. This sounds straight up bad. Example: 1) a random person in squad pops this 1 stack of might 0.1s before you as a healer try to give these sweet 12 stacks. Whose fault it is that you have bad boons? Ofc one would blame the healer. 2) Someone accidentally/a tag along new player/troll gives their group 2s of protection from some trait/skill, as your boon giver was about to give 10s - and suddenly crashes your organized squad's boons. 3) Boongiver's gameplay would be literally staring at the boon bar to see whether they use their next boon skill or will that just be wasted. And what is the point of having skills that after use don't do anything, and it might not even be your fault? Doesn't sound like an interactive gameplay and I can't see it affecting any game mode well. 4) It would completely defeat the point of anyone else but healer adding to boon range, as they have the highest boon duration in most cases. Or worse, if you were to limit boons to 1 per skill, that would probably require to bring even more specific-classes-only gameplay, not just firebrand, because sorry but this class can provide x boon, so now we need firebrand and x class in one party. And to counter that every class would need a set of utility skills that brings x boon to squad. Just nuke duration of any boon from any skill on WvW, if you don't like people having consistent boons. Or add boonstrip to more classes.
  8. Is Let Loose from Untamed not working at all on mace for some reason? Wanted to check this weapon set for my heal quick untamed (currently staff/staff) but it simply doesn't provide the quickness boon at all (none combination of weapons seem to work, only the other weapon ambush gives quickness). It does reset mace ambush but the reseted one doesn't seem to get life-siphon from Natural Fortitude either. More about mace... You can't apply 6th stack (hence trigger Force of Nature) with aa chain. It does refresh the stack, but doesn't trigger the buff. Seems like a nice setup for mace 3 stun + axe 5 dmg for some competitive perhaps? Lacks some tooltip about not being able to gain stacks of Nature's Strength after end of Force of Nature. But about Force of Nature overall... It is... there? Excluding the case above with burst setup, it feels irrelevant for PvE. You don't really wait with weapon skills CD in most cases: for healer you'd probably like to use mace 2/3 to upkeep boons and for DPS you just want to dps (though it seems like a rather low damage weapon, so might not be used in dps builds at all, looking forwards for it to be more of a healer weapon instead). Force of Nature reminds me of Relic of Nourys style of a thing, but easier to gain (if you run m/m) with added cooldown. But then I am personally rather disappointed with Relic of Nourys so maybe that's not good x) It's also funny watching how you grow smaller from Embiggening Tonic due to Force of Nature.
  9. Tldr: IMO - not worth buying, but I don't see a problem with someone else buying it, seeing items already available and it being only QoL, not P2W. It does not give advantage. Full: Aut as someone who has like 60 characters and had to do HPs to unlock professions for them, I don't see any problem with someone buying that item with gems. It's not a hardcore content, even less so in group. And it's not even that long. That gives the buyer 0 advantage over me, who had put too much time into playing or have been here long enough just to level up my characters with birthday scrolls. Just because I bought the game earlier than them and created characters. It's not like I put any effort into it, but now I can skip 20/30/40/50/60 character levels with just a click. Going back to HP unlock item... Why is it fine it's there? - Not everyone plays the game to just go and unlock HPs again over and over. Some might enjoy it but not everyone has to. Maybe they are only interested in some niche content and HPs are more of an obstacle than pleasure? - Not everyone has time to spend on this. Maybe they come home after a long and tiring day at work and want to chill with what they like, before they have to do their chores, go to sleep and go to work again? And it so happens that working brings them money they can and want to spend on the game for a QoL item. And also support the game with that. And I want the game to stay financially supported. As per the case of newbies... When you have this much gold (seeing increasing gem price) to just go and buy HPs, you're probably not a complete newbie and know how easy it is to get hero points, so it's really only your choice. If you as a newbie get gems for money, it's like with everything you buy, online or not. If you don't do any research before getting that walkman, don't be surprised it can't play CDs. Check Google/wiki, ask other players. It's that simple.
  10. Bump. Exactly same happening to me. I made sure I have no addons in my GW2 folder that could cause crash but since it happens right in the character selection screen, I can't get to options and turn DX11 off.
