It depends on what you do in the game and how important having the perfect build is for you. Personally, for me, it is "ruined" in the sense that I really don't have it in me to sit down and redesign all of the builds they have wiped out and to have to change my entire WvW playstyle because ANet has essentially taken the option away for me to roam and cap in the way I wanted to. As an example, my style was to stealth into a T3 camp and hang around sometimes for a long time and await an opportunity to quickly cap, even on camps that are heavily defended and whole Zergs have not been able to capture there is always a small window of opportunity. As a ranger main I can no longer stealth, so build and playstyle "ruined". And this is just one example class / playstyle. So what we are saying is the game is playable, but the changes have taken away some people's enjoyment of the game, and a huge amount of time invested in the builds design, testing and mastering. I personally am not going to sit around and hope that one day I can play again the way I want. Instead, I will bugger off to another game and occasionally check back to see if ANet has sorted anything. So there is a clarification of what many of us mean by the term ruined.

There is a form that you can use to request a refund on the Anet Guild Wars site, filled mine in last night.

If you spend months tuning a WvW or PvP build it really can come down to one thing that makes the build viable and that was often the effect in the 6th rune slot. I'd challenge you to find any other way a Ranger or DH can stealth so literally every build from those classes that used stealth as a feature is utterly useless and that will be true for many other classes and builds that relied on that 6th slot.

As you enjoy it so much how about I send you the 7 builds that I have spent hundreds of game hours creating and testing in WvW that no longer work as a result of this "upgrade" relic system and you can spend months redesigning them for me? I can either sit down and totally redesign my roaming style or kitten off to Baldurs Gate 3, at least ANet made that an easy decision for me. Edit: The refund request is in, half the price toward BG3 at least, let's see if Anet honours it without issue.

Totally destroyed every stealth build that relied upon the rune of the trapper too. So now thieves and mesmers will be the only stealth builds. I went into WvW tonight, on my first fight I went to stealth to reposition myself and bugger all happened, and I ended up getting wasted by the heavy-hitting classes with no chance to defend myself. cheers, ANet you donkeys!

Anet taking the kitten yet again. Corporate policy, if we leave Gandara without a link for long enough surely they will lose people eventually. Sorry to disappoint ANet, strong communities are hard to break.

Many on Gandara have had enough. No commanders on any borders, and to be honest a total disinterest in the game mode. If it's no longer fun why should we play it? If ANet evened the numbers up we might start playing again, until then few people on Gandara give a kitten about WvW.

Have lost interest in this fighting constantly outnumbered, playing less and less, not just WvW but GW2 as a whole because of it. If Anet want to retain the player base they need to put themselves in the position of people on the unlinked servers and ask themselves how much they would enjoy playing such an unbalanced game mode for month after month before they grow tired of it.

ANet tools broken, surely not! I must just be imagining this outnumbered buff 2.5 hours after reset EB prime time. After all ANet say we are full and they could never be wrong 🤣
