  1. Yeah, I've definitely been experiencing some bad the last 2 days, May 15th & 16th, 2020. I didn't know about the rollback that happened but this lag is bad. I hope Anet fixes this soon or I'm going to play another game for a while.
  2. This is technically feasible but, at the time of me writing this, it costs ~782 gold to buy 3400 gems, roughly what it costs to buy Living World Seasons 2, 3, and 4. That's a ***** ton of gold for anybody to save up, let alone a new player who just wants to play the story. I'm a casual player who plays 3-6 hours a week, since I work full-time; it would probably take me over 2 years to save up this much gold to buy all the Living World episodes.......I think there should be an easier way, like unlocking them in game through content or making them less expensive.
  3. Thank you for the replies everyone! I will go with playing Dagger/Warhorn Tempest for now, in the open world, and switch to Dagger/Dagger sometimes for fun and to do more damage vs single small hitbox enemies. I realize now that Evasive Arcana, in the Arcane traitline, lets you heal 1 condition when dodging while attuned to Water. I will use that in combination with Overload Water to cleanse conditions, using Overload Water only when I have multiple conditions on me that are significant. I do think Ride the Lightning seems to be a DPS loss and isn't useful in Open World for mobility, in my opinion, as mounts are so fast to move with when out of combat and you can glide even while in combat at a faster speed than running, if you're elevated.
  4. Hi everyone, I recently started playing Tempest and Elementalist in general again recently and I wanted to ask for some help. I am playing with this build: https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Tempest_-_Dagger/x_Fresh_Air. I was wondering if I should play with Dagger/Warhorn, Dagger/Dagger, or Dagger/Focus, just for Open World content. I think I see that Warhorn does not have any condition cleanse, while offhand Dagger and Focus do. Warhorn seems like it has better damage, oddly enough, than offhand Dagger, even though people online on Reddit and these forums have said offhand Dagger has the highest damage of the offhand weapons. May I ask what condition cleanse I can take if using Warhorn, as conditions can do a ton of damage on me in the Open World alone? I also wondered if using Ring of Fire (#4 Fire skill on offhand Dagger) and Ride the Lightning (#4 Air skill on offhand Dagger) are DPS losses, as they really seem like they are. Should I even use Ring of Fire and Ride the Lightning or should I just switch to Air and use the autoattack? What would you all recommend in general in open world, for which offhand weapon to take? Thank you for the help.
  5. Hmm, I should test this and see if you're right, if Tornado is being blocked. It should be hitting for damage despite an enemies aegis or block skills, granted you are in range; that's what I understand "unblockable" to mean.
  6. I swapped to Elementalist, seeing that Chronomancer did not seem as viable now. I was working towards gearing my Chronomancer for support in fractals/raids, but I thought it better to invest my time/gold into Elementalist, after I tried Ele and really loved playing it. I had not played my Elementalist that I played to level 80 for about 3 years, but I am really enjoying the animations and theme of Ele more than Mesmer, at least for now.
  7. I hope they return Illusionary Persona at least, though I want them to return Distortion F4 and make Continuum Split F5 again also. Just undo these changes, I don't think they are good for the profession/specialization.
  8. All damage you take after continuum split gets reverted back after continuum shift. Therefore, the actual 'distortion' aspect of distortion in continuum split is absolutely worthless. Have distortion in continuum split, take no damage. Don't have distortion in continuum split, still take no damage. The only reason why they added distortion to continuum split is because some of the current baseline mesmer traits like Inspiring Distortion play off of distortion 'activating'. They at least were an important aspect of PvE and such traits would be near completely useless if CS didn't apply distortion, even if the actual 'distortion' aspect doesn't matter. I thoroughly agree, so much >< The distortion effect on Continuum Split, now, is worthless in my opinion. Before the July 2019 patch, Chronomancer had 2 offensive shatters, 1 CC shatter, and 2 defensive shatters. Now we have 1 defensive shatter that has a very long cooldown :( We could use Continuum Split if we really needed to, to not die to some very damaging attack and we could also use Distortion to evade an attack we knew was coming. Now we just have Continuum Split with distortion effect, and who gives a shit? You're just going to get all your health back, what does it matter if you evade during Continuum Split!?! Ugghh........I freaking hope these changes get reversed...PLEASE ANET
  9. Hi everyone, I have a level 80 Elementalist that I never geared past what I used while leveling. I researched a bit on builds for Elementalist and looked on the forums how people feel about Elementalist and it seems like the profession has great potential for DPS but many people feel it's not the best at DPS for fractals & raids and does not fulfill any other role very well. Is this true? I was thinking of playing my Elementalist more but I wanted to ask if I tried to join PUG groups for fractals & raids, would people desire another profession instead? Thanks.
  10. We could be brothers LOL. We could be! Haha :P I really think your Guardian looks better! Man, I gotta step up my game!
  11. I really like your Guardian, Indure!! This is my Guardian, Iroh Knorrson:
  12. Bump, this is definitely a problem. Renewed Justice doesn't work on enemies that don't give EXP.
