It could survive half a minute 1v3 but it couldn't keep the cap and it can't do damage outside of lich. Decapping a point from a Necro is too easy for it to ever become an effective bunker and it lacks the tools to recap it. It's also not going to be doing much at all in teamfights. Maybe it could work as a ressbot and act as a condi magnet against condi heavy comps with traited Plague Sig, but that's unlikely too. Signet of Undeath is really easy to interrupt and costs the Nec 10k HP if it gets interrupted and it has no stability to cover the ress with.

    Nice, if that's the case, we can make US 300s cd right?I mean yeah, sure. You don't really take it for the procc. You take it for the regen in shroud. I can probably count the times where the procc has actually saved me on my two hands at best. I'm slightly perplexed as to why this is even an issue. Death Magic isn't really used at all for Core Condi. And I can't see bunker Nec being very useful in 5v5.

  5. Man, I wonder how many of the people complaining about Unholy Sanctuary are mistaking manual shroud entries for US proccing. Because I'm just gonna point out that what looks like a tiny sliver of health left for the Necro to you is probably actually 4-8k health for the Necro. Most Necros know they won't be chunked for that much and can pressure or kite while that low and will just shroud manually if they actually do get attacked.

    That's not really going to change as long as it has that same functionality. It should truly be split in functionality from PvE and WvW so it works like Sand Swell in PvP.

    You still die pretty fast to a coordinated 3-4 man spike at first engage on mid as a Nec. But the difference between it taking 0.5 seconds to 5 seconds makes all the difference.

    The old garbage oneshot meta where you spent the first minute of a game doing jumping puzzles and trying to LoS every direction at the same time to avoid the stealthed lads who were without fail trying to jump you was just awful and boring

    This is the best self-own in this thread.Sometimes dodging is just too much effort. Especially in a match where your sidenoder has just lost like a dozen 1v1s in a row in under 5 minutes.

    Bird autoattacking still managed to be top tho.

    You aren't going to be kiting much of anything on core condi nec. Especially not when you get caught with your pants down on the most open part of the map with nothing to LoS with nearby.

    The necro solution to pets is honestly to just kill them off rather than trying to avoid them. I'm not sure I'd even say the bird is op or anything, but its damage is probably out of line compared to other pets.

    Only really condi bomb from Core Condi is the last few ticks of Plaguelands.

The baseline of balance should always be the core builds. If certain especs are grossly overperforming and can't be fixed easily it's better to just kill it off.

Both Spectral Skills are definitely things you can kite. If he's running the shout heal as well he won't have any condi cleanse except Well of Power or Suffer. I'm also going to point out that Reaper is still very susceptible to CC. It's also hard countered by Burn Guard.
