The problem I am encountering with DH at the moment it that you pretty much have to rely high burst damage to kill your foe and have very little sustain. Kind of a one trick pony. Devastating if you manage to pull it off but if that trick fails you are in major trouble.

That was why I asked the question. So that I can learn the build and recognize the animations and then exploit it's weaknesses.

I know, they in the same boat as Guardians when it comes to mobility.

Playing a Guardian. I've been trying several different builds looking for something that is half decent at roaming. It has been rather challenmging, the other classes all seem to have so much more mobility.

I wish I would have know this, I would have waited a week -30mins before transferring (I transferred about 30mins past reset). Now I have to go another entire week without pips.

Not a QQ, honestly just trying to figure out what Reaper build is hitting me for 7.5k with Grave Digger in WvW. I'm fairly new to the game and don't understand the ins and outs of all the classes. I got taken out by this guy on 3 different occasions tonight and I want to learn how to counter it.

Just recently leveled my guardian the old fashion way (no crafting, no tomes, etc) Until I got my elite specs I ran a variant of the radiant GS from meta battle (GS-sceptor/focus) If farming events I swapped sceptor for a staff. Don't waste money on gear until you get to level 80. Just put on what you drop focusing power/precision stats. Put any jewels or sigils you might find. I love it when people think outside the box. Meta is fine when you are running organized teams but it does get boring when you are pideon holed into a specific build. I haven't done any PVP since I stopped playing 3 years ago. Just recently got back into it, mostly WvW roaming at the moment. This looks might be a good template to work from.

If you are just going to be doing story and open world go with a pure DPS. build, condi or power. Support builds are for, raids, high end fractals, pvp, and WvW squads. Just pick one of the DPS builds from meta battle, learn the rotations, and then learn to tweak the skills to fit the situation you find yourself in.

This is what I use to farm events in PvE. DH - Staff/GS , a buttload of traps and spirit sword. Purification for a heal skill. Trait in Zeal to get zealots blade and eternal armory. Trait Honor for staff cooldown and larger symbols.. Pick up Soariung Devastation in the DH line.
