  1. Combine GS 3 & 4 so you drop the symbol on hit or end of animation. One hand sword does this already with its Sword2. It could free up for a new slot and and the option for a new skill. Maybe a parry that applies cripple and grants a boon. Would still fit the guardian theme and up the viability of guardian greatsword
  2. I agree with the comment above. Stealth is fine for the most part. I've been wrecked by my fair share of thieves, but i've also wrecked my fair share of thieves. You just need to learn how to challenge their weaknesses. I recommend playing as a thief to get a better understanding of how to fight against them. Its what I did to learnYou can't just mash your way to victory, its all about timing
  3. Honestly if they just revert the cast time back to 0.25s everything else is fine. I have no idea who at ANet was responsible for adjusting Deflecting Shot but I can assure you that they're no DH main. On a side note in case ANet drops by-BRING BACK HAMMER GUARDIAN
  4. The Traps are fine as is. The only one that I could see that could probably need adjusting is Dragon's Maw. As it currently doing zero damage is pretty silly. I get they don't want people bursting people down like crazy, but I would recommend restoring either part of it's damage, or at the minimum make it so it adds several stacks of vulnerability. the whole purpose of dragon's maw is to put you in a vulnerable state where you're bound to one location. stability flat out allows you to ignore that, so I feel either adding damage back to it or vulnerability would be reasonable.
  5. Hammer on Guardian really needs to be buffed. There's a reason why its never used by 90% of Guardian mains. For PvE, I love the weapon, as a whole, I love the weapon.But you know what I would love more? to be able to effectively use Hammer in PvP and WvW. Currently as things stand Hammer gets outclassed by basically everything. Yeah the Damage on Mighty Blow is pretty solid, but given its obvious animation and now long cooldown, its not good. That paired with its painfully long, easily interruptable, and very demanding of a near stationary target to land and effectively utilize AA chain 3(Symbol of Protection) it has no really usable damage. Hammer 3 has very low damage and only a 2 second immobilize, whereas banish with its completely obvious visual queue of a windup time lost all its damage. I know they took damage away from all CC skills but Skillshots and very long windup skills that are much harder to land should get some if not all of their damage returned to them. I recommend: Hammer 1: Chain 1&2 damage increase by 10-15%Hammer 1: Symbol of Protection Cast 1 1/4s -> 1 Second Mighty Blow: CD 10 seconds -> 8 seconds Zealot's embrance: CD 15 seconds -> 12 seconds / Immobilize Time 2 seconds -> 3 seconds Banish: Restore skill's damage Ring of Warding: Allow cast while moving for the first 1/2 second of the 1 second cast time. I feel like with these changes Hammer will probs still not be viable as it is generally a very clunky, slow, low range weapon.But at least with changes like these we could roll hammer out of the dead catagory of Guardian weapons. On a separate note, I really hope ANet restores the cast time of LB3 back to 0.25sAnd on another, i'm still actively annoyed that Leap of Faith and Symbol of Wrath on GS are separate skills when One-hand Sword 2's Symbol of Blades is BASICALLY THOSE TWO SKILLS COMBINED. Pls combine GS skill 3 and 4 and give guardian GS a new skill, maybe a block Counter attack called Zealot's Offense or something.
  6. I wish ANet would either play test these changes or reach out to a group of dedicated PvP/WvW long term players that main the class in question before making adjustments to them. Longbow is utter garbage now ._. It was "okay" at best pre-patch. Deflecting shot isn't worth casting 80% of the time now. Only useful when running away and even then its terrible Needs to deal some damage again and have its 0.25s cast time back.While im speaking about it, ALL SKILL SHOTS SHOULD DO DAMAGE REGARDLESS OF WHETHER ITS A CC ABILITY. Skillshots, especially those with a cast time and incredibly slow travel time NEED to be impactful.

  8. I agree and disagree. Damage removal off of Deflecting shot was enough imo. We need that .25s cast time back. With the new changes and the incredibly slow travel time, its become an unrealistically challenging feat to even try to peg a player within 500 units with Deflecting shot. Literally all ANY player has to do is strafe even just a little left or right and you'll miss your shot. Keep the knockback, revert the cast time. Although I disagree with CC skills losing literally all their damage, if there has to be no damage on the skill then so be it.But we NEED that .25s cast time. DH as things currently stand; at least DHs trying to use bow are sitting at the bottom of the roaming tier at the moment.While Soulbeast and their longbow is chilling just fine being able to burst a player down from 1200 units away in a matter of a second and a half. Super disappointing changes.
  9. Also in agreement. DH pre-patch was a decent pick. Not the best, not the worst. Whereas before DH has TS and DS as a reliable bread and butter combo to do some heavy damage to enemies from a distance. It still wasn't reliable enough to be broken or even a major threat to skilled players. Now that DS has a massive .75s delay on its incredibly slow travel time of a skill, it also deals ZERO damage. I understand that they wanted to disable damage on every CC skill for WvW and PvP. But honestly its a bit much. Dont mind the soulbeasts still bursting unsuspecting foes with LB2 combined with Mighstacking & SB One Wolf Pack. As a guardian main I find these longbow changes incredibly frustrating. What this tells me is that the new balance team members had a blanket idea that they wanted to try out without actually testing any of the changes themselves before implementing them. As the way things currently stand DH is significantly worse for Roaming now. They've easily dropped to the near bottom of the Roaming Tier. If not thee bottom. I hope this gets adjusted real soon :/
