  1. Firebrand mantras have 2 parts to them. First there is a 450 range cone directed towards where the firebrand is facing, and then there is a 180 radius circle around the firebrand. Normally for boon application, skills will follow a list to know to who they should be giving boons to. the list is as follows : Party/Subgroup Squad Allied players (Players not within your party/squad) Your kennel (Pets, minions, illusions) Allied players’ kennels All other allies (such as NPCs) The problem is the firebrand mantra cones have priority over the circle. What I mean by this is that the firebrand's cone will go down the entire list first before the circle. Effectively, if you had 4 mesmer clones in the cone and no players, and 4 players not in the cone but in the circle radius of the firebrand, the firebrand would be giving boons to all 4 clones instead of the players.
  2. This is still an issue in 2021 ^^ Even with auto attack disabled it can still happen if you ambush during the 3rd auto, in between the first hit of the 3rd auto and the 2nd hit of the 3rd auto.
  3. I think the reason Phantasmal Defender doesn't proc DR is that its the phantasm taunting, not the player. Whenever defender taunts an enemy the enemy will be targeted on the phantasm, so the game probably doesn't recognize it as the player disabling a foe? but yes this is a problem that exists and hopefully they fix it if it wasn't meant to work like this
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR47-OzJWeU made another video with more concrete examples of this happening in real life
  5. For the past few months, I’ve been observing and researching a weird mesmer bug. Simply put, when summoning a phantasm, there is a chance it will target the wrong enemy. I've come to the conclusion that 2 circumstances must be met in order to trigger this bug. First, the phantasm must be hit before starting its skill cast, and second, there must be an available secondary target in range.
  6. https://youtu.be/UR5hYBE4SJA Since the new patch clones will despawn if kept out of combat for 4 seconds. This can mostly happen when playing staff mirage. If a new clone is spawned, and the player uses many ambushes inarow with Infinite horizon to share them with the clone, while making sure the clone does not hit any target by canceling the previous ambush with a new one, the clone will end up despawning 4 seconds later. EDIT : CLONES NOW TAKE 6 SECONDS TO DESPAWN SINCE THE 6/8/21 PATCH.
  7. gs2 will deal more damage, f1 will deal less damage
  8. video with full explanation : Quick explanation :Gs2/mirror blade :Mesmer’s greatsword has a skill called Mirror Blade. How it works is when you cast it, it sends out a projectile that will bounce between enemies and allies, and deal less damage the more it bounces. There is a bug related to this skill. The in game tooltip tells us that it is supposed to deal 15% less damage per bounce, but what is happening is that the game is applying that -15% to the first clean hit which did not bounce yet, resulting in an overall ~17.6% damage loss compared to what the tooltip tells us. F1/split second & mind wrack :There is a certain bug that affects s hatters for mesmers. It has been around for at least since arc dps exists, but has not been really usable up until the new chronomancer shatter reworks in july 2020.Simply put, the bug occurs when you shatter 2 or 3 clones with your f1 split second and rapidly follow it with any other shatter. Your f1 will magically deal more damage for apparently no reason.
  9. My friend and i have been investigating this bug for a few months now and have worked on a video that puts all the knowledge we have about it.Everything is in the video, but briefly, there is a bug related to this trait that has been known for quite some time now. Said bug is whenever a phantasm fails to complete its full attack sequence for no apparent reason, simply put. Say I use the skill sequence phantasmal swordsman, into signet of ether, into phantasmal swordsman again. I would spawn two phantasms from each cast of phantasmal swordsman, and each one would resummon itself once upon death, for a total a four phantasms. If I were to get bugged, one of these would become a clone before attacking, effectively giving me three phantasms instead of the expected four.
