  1. I've been waiting for Jade Prosthesis Gauntlet Skin to come back for quite some time. Would love to see it back.
  2. Halfway through the bag slot reward progression, and with supposedly six hours to go, my progression stalled. So, even though I fulfilled the requirements, I didn't get the only thing that I wanted. Pretty much wasted my time.
  3. For the experienced players, casuals waste peoples time. For the casuals, try-hards are toxic gate keepers. Tiered difficulty would benefit everyone. The way the system is set up now, having success in raids and strikes requires asking favors of more experienced players. That is not in any way healthy for a game mode, and is one of the biggest weaknesses of GW2.
  4. What I'm saying is that this isn't the best option. Players getting insta merced despite having maxed equip isn't good. I'm just saying that adjustment to build plus consumables shouldn't equate to one-shot kills. kitten is a weakness that no one wants to talk about in this game.
  5. Bud, you're not a casual player and you know it!
  6. There are time's I get 1 shoted. That shouldn't exist. It's obviously an exploit. I don't mind being bested, but if it happens before I can calibrate, that's a problem. +
  7. I know a lot of changes that have taken place insofar as balance can be concerned is so that there is less of a threshold between newbies and veterans. As someone who has played the game for a few years, I can unequivocally confirm that a try-hard who has mastered the min-max of the game will eliminate you in less than one second in WvW. That's the real problem the developers are trying to address, and till now it has been in my opinion in the wrong way. A nube should be crushed by a vet, but it shouldn't happen in less than a second. Even worse is when this happens to someone in maxed gear. The real problem with this game is that the exponential power of the exploits of this game mean that you will be crushed unless you are conversent with every angle of the advantages available. Nerfing these advantages would do wonders for accessibility.
  8. I got it from BL drop. Actually found it quite useful. There are many times that you can find yourself unexpectedly with damaged armor, and clicking this is way more convenient than going back to an anvil. Now? I cant understand why anyone wants one... Thinking about putting it in the bank.
  9. This would have been cool, but, nope. You have to click it.
  10. The thing is this: At some point during a 12 hour period, you are going to find yourself in front of an anvil. It would actually be more inconvenient to open your inventory and click the canister. Please counter this, because I would love nothing more than for this item to have some sort of value.
  11. That's like saying someone who put down 4000+ gold on a bank contract shouldn't complain if the next day instant bank access was free to everyone. To be fair, I think instant bank access should be available to everyone. But, I think it would be a wrong decision not to compensate players who already have the item.
  12. The key difference is that, before, you could use the item whenever necessary. Like in the middle of an instance. That's what made it sneeky underrated before. Also, depending on the content and duration of play, it was entirely possible to need repair multiple times. It's the only super rare item I've ever gotten. Now I'm considering removing it from my shared inventory slot because I cant see any significant convenience. Kinda bummed, tbh.
  13. No one likes them! They further consolidate power amongst a few professions. Ele nerfs have long since been a meme. Nerf them further? Mechanist strength has long been a meme, buff it further? The times I'm having fun, it's great! When I'm annoyed, yeah... I don't get how a company that produced such an awesome game can have so many decision makers who have no idea what fun is... It seems as though they don't take into account whos playing what. In WVW I rarely come across an Ele, and yeah, they're probably gonna kick my kitten if I see them, but I rarely see them. Same goes for Deadeye. You hardly see them, but when you do, watch out. That's a problem. They nerf these characters because of what the tippy top players do instead of finding some way to make them more viable for average players. These, as well as several other professions are well out of reach of average players. I don't mind being bested by a superior player, but the goal of balance should be to have my chances of getting my kitten kicked be relatively equal regardless of which profession I choose.
  14. I know that Mechanist is only one of many professions in the game. But, if we had skins to choose from for our golem, a vast majority of us would buy them. This would not only be a huge win for Mechanists, it would be huge for the game's aesthetic as the magnitude of identical golems is getting stale. There is no way you can loose by offering variety here.
  15. Just came back after a long break to find out that I just missed the Thousand seas pavilion pass. I cant bring myself to play EoD without it. It's kind of a thing I have with waypoints. Really hoping it's back in the gemstone sooner than later.

    RNG

I get how RNG is an integral part of the game, but spending way more gold on Ascended Salvage kits that you get back straight up sucks. Like, I get that I shouldn't make my money back from the equipment, but that I will probably loose gold if I try to see if I can get anything back is the opposite of fun.
  17. I'm definitely more torn about this feature than any other in the game. I realize that they are a good way to encourage players to explore areas of the map that may otherwise be bare. That's great. It's also good for player retention. They are usually simple to complete, and the rewards are good--especially if you are trying to get ascended gear. The problem is that I think I actually play less since I've started to focus on dailies. I'm not sure if I'm alone in this, but it actually triggers my procrastination gene. So for some reason, the activity becomes less fun simply because there was a list of preordained checkboxes to check. Where I would normally spend an hour or two on the game, I end up putting it off and waiting till the last minute to get my dailies reward, only to then log off. I know my response to this is irrational. And for all I know not many will relate. But if others have a similar reaction to dailies, it would be interesting to discuss ideas.
  18. Is there a time limit? Can you reset the JP--or do you have to wait a day?
  19. I'm having a lot of difficulty with this one. Ran through it the first time and got to the end chest but couldn't open it. Looked online and discovered that nine flags must be triggered. Okay, so I go back to the beginning. First flag is triggered, second flag wont trigger. I try a new character. First flag triggers, but now the second one wont trigger. I've done plenty of jumping puzzles, and find most of them challenging and fun, but this one just seems like an unintuitive mess. Any help would be appreciated.
  20. I was attempting to purchase an aurillium infusion the other day and looked to see what the stat change recipe was to decide if it would be cheaper to just buy a different stat and change it myself. While attempting to place a bid, I accidentally purchased the infusion that was more than the stat that I wanted (the bid price was less.) It was my mistake, sure, but that is a high price to pay for fat fingers. A confirmation screen would have saved me the difference, plus the extra cost of stat changing. This is especially infuriating because every time I get a repair kit I have to write out the kitten name whenever I want to delete it ( I have the endless version already.) Loosing that much gold is sour af, especially considering how long it took me to get there.
  21. I learn by doing. So unless I fumble through it a bit I wont fully get it. I don't even need a tutorial. Just open up the levels without enemies so I can figure things out and I'll be fine. I think it would be a game-changer not only for new players entering this game mode, but also for veteran players who would have a larger pool of knowledgeable players to work with.
  22. So, I decided to get into fractals. Everything seemed fine until I had no idea what was happening. There was a mechanic I had never seen before that was suddenly introduced and I ended up holding my team up for a solid five minutes while i learned how to scale a wall with this new power I had no idea existed. This created an anxiety within me that makes me not want to try this mode again. I'm sure it wasn't fun for my teammates either. I'm sure my experience wasn't rare, and that many who want nothing to do with fractals had a similar experience. The solution is to open up the maps to practice. Simple. If I could go into the levels without pressure and learn the mechanics, I would be better suited for the real deal. Some people might argue that the point is to solve things under pressure, but I think that's bs. Almost everyone that is a fractal regular has either learned watching YouTube videos on how to clear or has followed someone else's lead. Why not let beginners practice before jumping in. They'd feel more comfortable, and the other players would be grateful to have one less noob to drag around. What I am asking for specifically is that each level be opened up in a practice mode without any enemies so that new players can familiarize themselves with levels before trying them out.
  23. Relatively new to the game, and have just started to dabble with endgame content. My favorite, by far, is WVW. I don't really know what I'm doing, but it's fun wondering around picking off the occasional dolyak or guard--and very occasionally another player. What I'm doing seems to be helping, but like I said, I'm new to this mode and for all I know I could be creating problems for my team that I'm not aware of. Is the lone wolf type of play style viable in this mode? (I suck at typing and playing at the same time, and when skirmishes get to big I'm like a cat staring at a disco ball.) If playing solo is a thing, what should I be doing to maximize my contribution? Also, what profession would work best for this--I'm guessing Daredevil because of stealth and mobility... Also, what kinds of things should I avoid doing so as not to cause annoyance--I found out the hard way that jumping into a duel is a nono.
