(not talking about change utilities or traits) Use your blinds to load the thief with Confusion while negating their damage and endurance regen (if dagger's 2° AA miss), reset fights with The Prestige + False Oasis and chase it with your leaps when it want to flee. Force their double Shadowstep and then make use of Gravity Well + Shatter skills to burst it down. Follow it with Blink while throwing Tides of Time if it disengage, then channel your Confusing Images. Use Trail of Anguish before trying to heal to prevent interrupts and seek teammate's help: you can't burst thieves with this build. Your reaper build require targets to stand into your ground circles as it don't have any damage proc or instant skills and you don't have defensive stats on amulet/rune.Rune of Vampirism could help with your damage/sustain but it will not be enough to prevent resets from thieves or survive enough to cicle another round of CDs.I suggest you to run with GS + Axe/WH to have more multi hitting skills (to deny blind value), gain a pull, a blind/corruption field and better burst.Life Siphon isn't reliable without Quickness (rune of the Chronomancer) and the Immobilize comes with a long CD. If I were fighting thieves with that build: camp Dagger/WH all the time to lower the change of getting interrupted, Dark Path only vs 0 endurance (Unhindered Combatant) thieves followed by Well of Suffering and Wail of Doom, then swapping to Axe/WH, but only if the Thief were running out of initiative while disengaging (90% shadowstep away). Shroud to prevent the burst after the opening, to gain stability and CC the thief before Heal: be careful with stolen fear if you want to "kite".

Soulbeast don't play as SB and comparing it to a dedicated PvP class is like to compare a PvP reaper with a PvP scrapper. Your theory of Bear Soulbeast will work only when they add in swap pet during beast mode, or removal of Soulbeast unmerged CD, or else you'd be stuck with Bear for too long to do anything meaningful within the time you get access to resistance. Sure it can work in WvW because there'll be someone covering you up, and your personal dps doesn't matter cuz other can carry you, but in pvp you're just a liability with low pressure and still subpar sustain. My vote goes to make twice as vicious also refresh Beast Mode on pet swap. A 5%p+5%c modifier for 4 seconds is kinda poor, more effects are needed.Bear's heal+resistance is mainly for buy time for Bear's Stance to restore huge HP to the Soul Beast and the allies within range with a traited Leader of the Pack.Essence of Speed can turn the resistance from a "meh" to an "ok" duration with Agility sigil (I use it like this). Its not like sustained damage isn't important but burst is better for PvP, sure in a WvW zerg you'll be running another build. Dedicated? Well it feels dedicated atm, but there shouldnt be "dedicated" PvP classes and PvE classes. Builds maybe, but not entire class. I feel the same but that is, a dedicated PvP e-spec.

  6. Peoples who don't run Clarion Bond or Unstoppable union, rofl.Brown Bear gives Resistance along with a good heal and another damage immunity. When the gazelle will be toned down many will pick it, bowbear isn't a noob levelling build exclusive anymore.
  7. Valkyrie/Rage is a viable option Valkyrie gives u hp, that scourge eats 0.5 seconds slower than Marauder amul. It's zerk build. No toughness so holosmiths and warrs just bangs you if you cant keep range. Vs Scourge go with longbow, Bear Stance if it catch you. When you have forced his stunbreak swap to gs, leap and than hit with Hilt Bash/Maul. If he want to survive to your LB will have consumed all the endurance. But GS isn't the answer to everything and if played right you can kite melee class easily (Dolyak stance helps in that regard) Problem is LB doesnt do enough damage, and while scourge stands on point with shades and marks in his feet, you can't go melee. And if you can't go melee you aint killing necro. Ranger has stability only on elite or dolyak stance. Plus you need condi cleanse. So... good scourge can always get out of LoS, wait u come close enough to condibomb you, or you run and he "wins". Only if pets can cc scourge soulbeast has chance with melee fights.Longbow's damage isn't so bad with crit+modifier and if the cap is contested by the Scourge you can push it away and send in the smokeskale (no gazelle contempled) to follow the CC and burst it down. If the cap is already of the scourge why go to contest it?If you can decap or win then go for it, otherwise rotate (or maybe lure it off point)..
