Prior to being able to get the egg from the vendor only ~20% of the player base had the egg unlocked and ~15% had their turtle. If those numbers are even close to accurate, that's insane. If 80% of players have not gotten past the meta it's obvious there needs to be changes. Now that people can get their turtle without the meta, people aren't even going to try it. There were barely any groups last night. Still a massive time sink for what will likely fail.

I submit bug reports when the Anet crash window pops up, but most of the time it's just a hard freeze / lock up and windows will just kill the process. Windows 10, GeForce GTX 1050Ti (drivers updated last week). I play windowed fullscreen in 1920x1080. No addons. 75% of the lockups/crashes are happening during large meta events. Specifically Auric Basin I just seem to crash over and over again during the loot rooms after the meta is over. Ley Line Anomaly is always fine for some reason which is a ton of people.

Since enabling DX11 last week I've been having a number of either crashes where I get the bug report window, or where the game just goes completely unresponsive. Usually it just goes unresponsive and Windows (10) just closes the game. I can't even submit a bug report to Anet when this happens. I want to, but I can't! The place where it's happening almost every time is the chest/loot rooms after the Auric Basin meta. My client will just lock up over and over again and a couple times I just gave up trying to loot all the rooms. I have no idea what's so special down there that's causing it. I updated drivers last week. Don't know what else to do to try helping/preventing this from happening.

I get their side of it. Apple completely changed their underlying OS again forcing them to re-write the client to support ARM and Metal. The vast majority of Macs have built-in graphics (no geforce/radeon) and the game didn't run good when I had my mac a few years ago. I imagine with them wanting to upgrade the graphics things would only get worse. I can't imagine the number of mac users warrants the effort in doing all that work.

I wanted the extra character slot and inventory slot and after that it's basically 1/2 price 4000 gems, which I will eventually use. For the amount of time I play this game I have no problem paying for the upgrade since I never spend any other real money buying gems or on monthly fees.

I also didn't receive the level boost or shared inventory slot. I did get my extra character slot and the boat and raptor skins. It did say the gems would take a bit of time. Maybe they will show up in a couple hours. Who knows...
