  1. Maybe it's too late for feedback - but axes are kind of gimmicky to me - I'm not sure I understand why we have to prime them (throw them out) and then alpha-strike at melee range to get decent damage. Axe1 already feels good and so does Axe2. Personally I would stop the "linger in space" and modify Axe3 to just hit harder maybe sum up the dot(s) damage and cancel the dot(s) but keep it all at range please!
  2. I don't mind stealth by itself, but so many things a thief brings wrap around it or triggered by it - it's happening way to frequently. I remember when fire weavers were kings of damage. Why the thief hasn't received similar kinds of changes/core ability nerfs that weavers have? At least back during PoF, I could out damage a good thief. Now, I barely get a chance to do anything - reminds me of WoW when those rogues would try to stun-lock. At least being stun-locked wasn't as bad, as others could see what was happening and maybe try to do something. But now these thiefs are dropping in and out of stealth every 2 or 3 seconds, and it's impossible to catch or disrupt them its beyond stupid. But I know I'm shouting into the wind, so thiefs, enjoy it while you can and I'll just keep praying Anet decides to do something that changes your playstyle the way they have done with so many other builds, and relegate stealth to minor ability or outright remove it.
  3. I love guild wars 1 and 2, love the story and usually enjoy the pvp and wvw. But lately bunkers style builds are dominating pvp and it's way past being a problem. Maybe it's because some damage is over the top (reaper, mechanist, chrono, etc) that elementalist, warrior, and guardian builds have evolved into soaking damage so much that its almost impossible for dps only builds to compete. I have seen too many spellbreakers and weavers who can own a node indefinitely against 1, 2 or maybe 3 other classes. Now I've played weaver before, in the beginning our damage was OP'd - but now its been turned into a bunker with so many defensive abilities, it's not even a caster that I recognize. Please for the love of the game - find some way to retune these 27 classes that it returns to a game of skill and not a game who has the most defensive abilities or who can mash the most buttons.
  4. I still had issue trying to complete the download, got about 48GB before the launcher just stopped. No amount of retries would get it to proceed any further, but at least it was playable. What worked for me came from: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/topic/66435-downloading-gw2-files-remaining-stuck-at-49100-edit-found-solution/page/3/ Ironically, this was a problem 3 years ago when I was taking a break from the game. I basically followed the idea on page 3 from @SoulCaptive.9645. After editing the host file on my pc and restarting the launcher, the download is working normally for me again. Makes me wonder what is happening on the back-end that allows for this to work. At any rate, hope this helps...
  5. Can confirm deleting the %Temp%/gw2cache* folder (just type %Temp% in search bar in Win10) seems to have lowered the amount code 42, so far about 40mins in no sign of it, or maybe Anet tweaked something in the mean time. Also tried redownloading the gw2.dat - don't recommend that option as the downloader seems borked.
  6. Ugh, you are right @Neurion.4086 -- soon as I left my last spvp match, code 42 and it actually forced me back into the zone after I clicked exit. Ugh...
  7. At least as of 8am EST - seems some amount of stability has returned. Or at least I'm not seeing code 42 for now, so thank you if you did anything to try to restore peace.
  8. Still not working, code 42 every time I try to queue for spvp, which seems to stall or freeze the UI. During boot up of the game it ran into "network error...retrying" that eventually let me in to the char select screen. But trying to queue I just get "you have been removed from matchmaking and tournaments". If I don't see the code 42, sometimes it will work and just take too long to let me zone into the spvp map.
  9. sigh, code 42 is back again -- can only log in, get an unranked spvp going, soon as that game is complete, code 42 - stuck in match-making. Is no one testing this code before rollout?
  10. @Pati.2438 and @Tiah.3091 -- I absolutely agree with both your ideas - and that's what gets me so upset. There are ways to address this, to make PVP a little more balanced, to enable more builds to be viable. Instead we get none of that, just dartboard coinflip changes. Guess I'll just have to shelf my Weaver/Catalyst for another couple of years, thanks Anet.
  11. Why don't we call this patch what it is - nothing but changes no one requested. Where is the spellbreaker nerf for their immortality. I can understand why tempest might need their small window trimmed, but what about the others?!
  12. Already submitted a bug report - but Code 42 is all over the place. Makes it impossible to queue for anything. This wasn't happening in the early AM. Please FIX!!
  13. I don't know what was in that last patch on Nov 8 2021, but since then the game refuses to launch, gets hung, locks up my mouse. I don't have 30 chars, I wasn't using dx11 beta option, and I have zero mods. I tried a "-repair" to no affect. I have been running GW2 on Windows 10 since about Jan/Feb of 2020 with no issues, even running at 4K. I had to add a "-dx11" to end of my launch command to even get the game to boot up and let me log in. Ugh, but at least worked, and seems stable enough (I hope). Update for Nov 10, 2021 -- the "-dx11" is stable for me, so I guess this is what I'll be doing until the next patch breaks something. I'm using an EVGA 2080TI Hybrid with the latest drivers, if that matters.
