  1. Love that they are trying to make skills and traits that are not being used useful. If someone form Anet is reading this, the build i relay want to exist is power dps Specter Thief. The build would focus on burst cleave dmg from Well of Tears, Shadowfall and shroud skills. The way to make this build possible is to change some Specter traits that are not being used to boost power dmg and to buff dmg of Well of Tears, Shadowfall and possible shroud skills 2 and 4 (of course buff to power wells and and shroud skills would be only in PVE to not make it broken in pvp and wvw). Also hoping that one day the initiative reduction on Specter will be gone, as it was sad a few patches ago, but never seen light.
  2. Purchased Legendary Weapon Starter Kit from the Wizard's Vault. From the weapons that i can pick, Quip, The Bifrost and Bolt i already have, and Meteorlogicus i don't like as a skin. Would love to be able to pick some other legendary to craft, like Frostfang or Twilight. Are there any plans to change the selection once rewords in Wizard's Vault change? Or should i just craft Meteorlogicus and just reskin it?
  3. Really hope they don't nerf thief to the ground again. Power quick Deadeye build is fun to play, and am hoping i can play it for more than 1 patch. It has high single target dmg, but aside from that not much else and no cleave. If the dmg of build like power quickness Deadeye is same as other quickness builds, you will have no reason to play the build, because every other quickness build brings so much more than just dmg and quickness. Specter is not in much different situation. The dmg build was not in a good spot since they nerfed shadow shroud, and never gave initative back that they sad they would. But agree that there should be a bigger dmg gap between dmg build and alac build. Power Daredevil atm is weird, i dont think the rotation should include cancelling 3rd auto-attack and breaking auto-attack chain. Pls don't overreact just because there is a viable thief build in PVE that is not pure dps.
  4. Step in right direction for Specter, still w8ing for getting initiative back that you lose like they sad few patches ago, and hoping they buff wells for dps specs. Would love to see condi dps Specter use wells for dmg and not venoms, it would make the build have more cleave and be less dependent on applying venoms to other players to be useful. Also still hoping they buff power wells, would be relay fun to play power Specter in pve for big cleave dmg. For Deadeye, i hope that they increase the dmg for Shadow Flare to be still viable for dps build, but dont realty like the change atm, if you time the backstab right, it wont interrupt it, and multiple hits on Shadow Flare skill helped with sustain with multiple mobs in combination with heal signet passive. Thief s/d build could be good with new changes, but that depends on the percentage of dmg increase and steal cd. Buffs for dps power Daredevil look good, but not sure that it will be enough to compete with other dps options, will see once someone does the benchmark. Also hope that new changes to Power quickness Herald dont destroy the build, it is a fun build to play atm.
  5. Hope that is a late Aprils Fools joke. Fingers crossed they fix Specter overall not just the support build in the next patch, but that sentence doesn't give me much confidence in it. Also quick Deadeye sounds good, but wont get my hopes up until i see it. Lastly, maybe buff staff dmg on Daredevil a bit for power Daredevil to be on par with other dps roles atm.
  6. Still waiting for Specter to get initiative back as they sad and some shadow force, since the reduction. Since the shadow force is to low now the the only build you can play in pvp is condi with more hp to make up for it witch is not that strong so it doesn't get any play anyways, pls give some love to power Specter build. Meld shadow nerf is bad, wont get into it, because to many people did it already, I mean it is an elite skill, if it no longer removes reveal , it is not worth taking, you have to give it something else to do to compensate. Removing Swipe? why?, just give it more range as it had before, the unblockable part is important if you know what you are doing. Impact strike change means nothing, because you never take it, if you want more cc, you take basi, more dmg, you take thieves guild, the only reason i can see it being used is in power build, but for that it needs to do more dmg to be part of the rotation, and even if it did, the power build does to low dps to be viable, it is only usefull on small number of raids for stolen skill. Lastly, would love a power specter dps build to be viable, it is fun to play, but the damage is to low, just buff Well of Tears and Shadowfall to scale better with power, make some traits usable for power, like Dark Sentry and buff power dmg of shroud.
  7. Probably not going to matter, but will share my opinion, and changes i would love to see :) After playing specter, i find it a good concept, but feels a bit clunky to play. The animations for you skills in my opinion are a bit slow so it makes the gameplay less fluid. Scepter skill 2 seems useless, especially since as a Specter you have lower initiative pool, and you cant waste it, so all you can do is spam 1 and use 3 when you have initiative, and you don't have initiative to spent on anything else (am not saying nerf scepter 3, just to be clear). On specs like s/d or d/p you use skills depending on the situation, and every skill has its use, as on scepter, 1 is a spam, 1 from stealth is more 1 spam, and 2 is worse 3. You can use scepter 2 for like a block/backroll/evade mechanic for example (like Mesmer sword 4). The shadow shroud seems a bit underwhelming in damage,, compared to Reaper or Harbinger shroud. Also i feel like Rot Wallow Venom is useless in power builds (as i and most of the people i asked much more prefer power over cond builds for thief since most people that play thief, in pvp and wvw, play for fast paced gameplay that power thief in every other spec provides). Also, with a lesser initiative pool, i feel that the spec required me to take Trickery trait line, and i am left to change 1 trait line, not because Trickery is overpowered, but i just don't have enough initiative to cast skills. Also as i like playing power more than condi and i would really love to be able to play power dps or some sort of power alacrity or power quickness build in Fractals and Raids, but sadly i cant, as the traits in Specter that can be selected is practically a choice between condi dmg or support/utility, and things like Rot Wallow Venom are useless in power builds, and there is no power dmg modifier trait option.
  8. My opinion is probably not going to matter, but its worth a shot. The new elite spec is fun, but when playing thief I always liked power more than condition damage. The traits for the Specter are mostly support and condition damage. I would like for one trait line to be condition and one support as it is not, but pls give one trait line to power damage (as i see at the moment with the Mechanist, which can select power, condition or support), and for minor trait to give torment, it has no synergy with power damage. I would like to have something like Chronomancers have that gives them movement speed, or Heralds have that increases max hp (witch is useful for every build, regardless if it is power, condition or support).
