  1. I might be excited by Arena.net making a new MMO. Might be. With an entirely new team, of new people from outside the current company culture. But Guild Wars 3 ain't it. They've driven this story and its world into stagnation.
  2. To properly climb rank, one must avoid PvP at all costs.
  3. Druid and scourge are not viable without perfect team comps, they don't put out enough healing/boons on their own because they are both hybrids and rely on an actual support to carry them. There are only two viable "roles" within the meta currently: doing as much damage as possible as fast as possible or trying to survive the amount of damage currently being put out. It's not enjoyable, and not all classes are actually represented equally in this. Those things you said are viable, if they're worse at doing either of those two things people don't play them except in unranked or really low tiers. Because of how it currently is it's really easy to spot blow outs, and it also feels really useless to play a support at all outside of AT because there's too much damage that, as a support, you are not actually playing in a skillful way and instead are in a constant state of pressure due to the sheer amount of damage creep that has happened. It's also impossible to take you seriously, at all, because you were one of the most ardent defenders of soul beast with your "just dodge", "you're all scrubs" mentality when soul beast was blatantly OP with how much sustain, how much more damage it was doing than everyone else in an already insanely high damage meta, and how often it could actually do its multiple huge damage combos. You're also equally dismissive of the fact that skull grinder with relic of akeem for most non bunker classes is a death sentence. You seem to just support whatever current thing is OP, and thankfully anet disagreed and saw fit to bring soul beast back to reality with the rest of us so it's at least more in-line with the meta. But I guess you can keep crying about it in every thread and maybe you can just dodge those nerfs.

  5. Yeah, only two viable supports in a sea of insane damage with condizerk being a weird outlier that is both bunker and when you get all the pieces of exodia together also a one shot build.
  6. I really wish I could have this kind of luck, more often than not I end up with teammates who cannot secure kills, or don't actually know what the objective of structured pvp is.
  7. There's a reason there's only two truly viable support specs. The other supports simply cannot compete without being carried by their group. Hell, supports have always been carried by their group because as someone mentioned, they're a force multiplier. It is currently very discouraging to play support because more so than running any other build I am entirely reliant on if I managed to snag a good group, and even when I do have a good one, I am constantly playing on the backfoot because my sustain is only giving my side maybe 5 seconds to outburst the other guys.

It seems like you have a grasp of why the downstate system is how it is, it's legitimate strategy to abuse someone's bad positioning and leaving them in downstate with chip damage, but at the same time you also are mad that some classes you can't do this with. Leaving a ranger to chip damage and them popping up is one of those hard lessons, you have bait their stun or stab, or just kill them. If I can do it with just my slow staff balls, any class is capable of killing a downed ranger.
  9. Why are you whining about bunkers when we're in a burst power meta. That support guard would have died to a good burst if you'd actually all bothered to target call and kill them. There's only so much condi supports can cleanse, there's only so much damage they can heal, only so much they can block. If a support is rez'ing, they're not healing, every supports casted instant rez has a long cool down and can be interrupted. Really sounds like you're mad you got outplayed, and this whole thing has nothing to do with downstate.

This is really the crux of the issue, while I personally don't find the power creeped deleter builds fun to play against, their burst is at least predictable and if you know what to look out for you can either totally negate it or avoid the majority of it, their low skill floor high reward playstyle is unhealthy for the state of the meta in the long run, but it's manageable. Slb using pig pet and GS/ls+horn has so many huge damage skills to choose from and we have limited ways of actually countering those, and they can do any of them from stealth, and their ability to run away and survive if they blow it is pretty good, they're not really glass or a roamer, they're a brawler.
  11. At this point I'm convinced you don't know the difference between a melee build and a ranged build.
  12. Good luck convincing randoms to do any of what you just said. We can't all be a pvp god like you and predict what the other team is running and be ready for every situation. Please ignore that these current meta builds are even one shotting the guys trying to keep the team alive.
