  1. Yeah. I played Everquest 2 since release but stopped playing it as much over the past few years because the content it offered kept getting worse and worse. I always solo'd on EQ2, even if it would be easier for me not to because of my anxiety. I usually did talk in world chat with other players but that was as far as I went with doing things with other players, usually.
  2. Yes, I do know what MMO means, and I don't give a kitten. I play MMOs in my own way, and I have plenty of RPGs to play, but as I have said, MMOs offer something that singleplayer games do not have. I genuinely enjoy MMOs because I can chat with people if I wanted to, or hang out with people if I wanted to as well as I can get my friends to play with me, if I wanted to. It's more of just the choice of these things that I like despite my social anxiety. I know that's too complicated and confusing to understand but I am weird like that.
  3. I get that it's a MMO but a lot of us prefer to solo, at least, sometimes because of anxiety or just because they don't like having to group up with people constantly. I generally don't understand why MMO companies just love making it impossible/hard for players to solo their content. If I can't solo, then I guess I'm out. I have social anxiety and feel very uncomfortable grouping up with randos and even guild mates, the most I can do without feeling anxious or uncomfortable is to chat with other people on Map/Zone chat (I dunno why either), and yes, I get that I could just play singleplayer games but MMOs have something singleplayer games don't that I like. I struggled enough as it is with HoT and PoF, and now it's possible that I won't be able to do any of the content without the help of a group. And I know I am not the only person who feels this way so.. kitten us, I guess.
  4. Yeah, it just... frustrates me. GW2's story may not be great, but it would be really kittening nice if I didn't need to fork over an extra $60+ dollars for DLC that should be optional but isn't. It's, honestly, kind of a kitten move and needs to keep being addressed until it annoys the devs enough to change it.
  5. Well then, it would be nice if they, at least, did a recap on what happened in Living World for those who don't want to spend extra for it. Being broke, all I can do is wait until the rare occaission arrives where they give away bits of it for free. Most I can afford is the expansions. Back in the day, you didn't need to buy random kitten DLC to get the full story on an expansion in MMOs.
  6. Yeah, and sadly, apparently I talk in some eldritch language because every time I say something, people get confused or on here, just use the confused reaction emote. If what I am saying confuses anyone, I'd like to know what so I can be more clear with what I am saying.
  7. Yes, but still, it's not a good idea to put major plot points and character introductions in DLC that isn't attached to any expansions.
  8. GW2/Anet devs, if you want players to experience the story of GW2 naturally without players missing major plot points or major character introductions, either include Living World with the expansions OR make Living World optional to the story and have the characters introduced through HoT and PoF/have a recap on Living World through HoT and PoF. It is REALLY frustrating getting into HoT for the first time and being like "WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE, AND WHAT AM I DOING?" and then realizing Living World is actually insanely necessary to the story which, DLC is supposed to be optional, not crucial to story. People, like me, are going to see Living World as optional DLC because it's not included with the purchase of their respective expansions. It's a really dumb mistake to make for a video game's devs. To those that decide to use the "Confused" emote on my post, Living World is necessary for story, Living World isn't free and isn't included with the expansions and are most likely seen as optional to most players, therefore, major plot points and major character introductions are missed. Do I make myself clear?
  9. Other than what was done through the game's story, there really hadn't been much done to hype people up for the new expansion. End of Dragons does seem really interesting and does seem like it'll be a blast to play, but with barely anything to go off of, I do worry a bit it'll not meet expectations. I'm not going to be one of those players that straight up say it'll be bad because, honestly, that's a bit of a kitten move to both the players who are excited for the expansion and the devs but I do hope I'm not the only one that is just a bit worried about how the new expansion will go. Other than that, though, I am, genuinely, excited to see what GW2's version of Cantha will be like and how all the e-specs will play out. From what I've tried, Specter seems to be rather fun, same for some of the others, however flawed they may be. Some felt questionable but I assume they're tweaking them to be better.
