[Suggestions ] Just listen to this guy
MechanicalMind.9126 replied to LordOfDeath.7420's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Honestly im with you. Guy probably means well.. but grates the nerves a bit. And honestly the whole dragons end thing never should have been as hard as it is. -
I mean you could say that.. but the issue is.. after doing the meta for the first five times, it becomes work. Especially when it takes 2 hours, is failable even with a full map. You get no rewards of checkpoint stuff if one fails. I mean apparently the awards for the turtle is going elsewhere so theres that... but as it currently stands.. i mean.. its kind of a job.. doing it over and over.. fun the first couple of tries but after that. yeah..

The Increasing Toxicity in the Community

Or playing all together lol. I havent seen too many builds for the newer classes come out because of nerfs probably inbound.- 230 replies

The line in the sand

Honestly... the moment you started to define the game for others in your first paragraph is the moment i stopped reading and taking you seriously. Good luck with that.- 113 replies

Dragon's End Meta = I'm Done
MechanicalMind.9126 replied to Cameryn.5310's topic in End of Dragons Discussion (Archived)
I mean its the same for me. I was totally jazzed for the expansion, now that im done with the story i dont even feel like grinding anything really after smashing my head on the meta a couple of times and trying a few other things along the way. And tbf, i dont feel like theory crafting any of the new classes anytime soon. I feel like they are about to get nerfed as hard as the others did at expansion drop so why bother? And apparently, neither does most of main content creators.- 225 replies

Dragon's End Meta = I'm Done
MechanicalMind.9126 replied to Cameryn.5310's topic in End of Dragons Discussion (Archived)
You realize the moment people get their turtle the meta is going to die like a fish out of water right?. No one will play it because they can do the metas in other expansion zones way faster. Even following the boss train is tons faster. -
to be fair though.. yet here we are. I mean if these forums were a patch of land id be constantly tripping on all the rocks that were threads about this subject.. so no.. it doesnt seem like they really do. Talk is one thing but practice is another.. and well if im blunt super nerfs right before that.. speaks a little differently when put together and thought about in a related way. But then again.. i guess one has to ask if this game even has very many of its original dev team. It feels like its a new crew.. but thats just me. Sorry.. separate tangent.

Oh im with you on this friend. I made the time comparison to show how insane it was. I personally stopped at 3 (tries). Got sick of commanders yelling at people and calling them names haha. I mean i have better games to play if im just going to be forced to deal with that nonsense to be fair. Especially for a turtle that mechanically sucks. I mean two people are pretty much sitting in a seat to half thier damage just for lots of structural damage? Ok? XD Should have been a side quest imho.

To be fair i personally dont think Teapot gets it. I mean im glad hes trying to help people pass. But that in itself is the issue, if you have to hop on a discord and organize this much for an open world meta... i feel one has missed the point. Metas havent been THIS involved all the way to this point. I mean sure auric basin is kinda coordinated but i have only seen that fail when theres not enough people on the map or someone burns a little too much. Also that one group that did it with 6 mins to spare was a discord group from Teapot lol... So yeah of course that was going to succeed.
