The only thing i will add to vindi is more cc , cause it really lacks ... and no no for staff i am staying 2x sword/Greatsword , but besides that vindicator is fine and really fun (especially against trash mobs with sigil of endurance , making me feel like a bomber with infinite ammo and fuel).

    And your suggestion will nerf his damage , many vindicator i know (and myself) generally use to remove from archemorus/viktor legend to help the group with dwarf road or ventari bubble and stay with shiro cause "impossible odds" rocks ! so your suggestion will make every vindi dps go archemorus/viktor no matter what and that's a bad design having a whole 3 choice for gm traits affect only one legend is really not a good idea... also idc what happens to Vassals of the Empire and Saint of zu Heltzer but don't touch Forerunner of Death , this trait is the icing , the toping and the cherry of the cake !

    Maybe add alacrity to one of the other trait , i could really get some use for a good alacrity power dps.

    And energy meld must stay with 1/2 dodge refill , more dodges = more damage, only thing i would do is remove the cast time and make it instant.

    Sorry but i am with the confused group (plz anet add a "disagree" emoji ... i am not confused i just don't agree ^^)

  2. ah ok ... but first off we need a minion rework cause atm it's good for leveling and only the golem see some usage for cc , and maybe the shadow fiend for life force generation , but anything else is very gimmick , far far beyond the gw 1 minion master with his 9 demon archer and the golem hitting like a truck.

    I would rather see death magic used to be fully oriented on minion like spamming a flesh skully every x secondes while in battle who has a life duration and some trait that make you choose between spamming more types of minions (like range ones or maybe support ones or a single one like a death reaper or a bifi version of the golem with a short duration)

    htemp is not awfully bad , you can do most of endgame content with it , but it's way more hard and risky to play than any other meta healer and for not any bonus , you are not a better healer in term of raw healing , you don't give any special boon like resistance and have cluncky aegis and stab on a 30 sec cd, only props htemp has is "rebound" .

    I played all meta healer and for now i am sticking with chrono and healscourge and those two in my opinion are far beyond other healers , maybe druid has better raw healing while in avatar , but scourge and chrono are well more balanced to me

    mecanist is still pretty efficient with the fact the mech can boon from afar while you kite mechanics now and scrapper need some updates to be on pair with other healers, that's the problem now with all classes having the ability to give either quickness or alacrity , many people are gonna stick with what they feel is the most efficient , and as data shows the healers who takes the cakes are : chrono , mécaniste , scourge, druid and herald (maybe the dps counterpart trouble a bit these numbers) but they are mostly alac healers because you have herald as a quick dps who covers most boons with 0bd... and who's the dps/support number one choice , not ebacsue of his dps but because of the isane boon coverage thismonster have.

    Either way when pistol came out ele playrate got even more bottom feeder, prove that most people don't want a "versatile" weapon , what people want from ele is a weapon who is pretty simple to use (cause ele is complicated enough like that) and straightforward.

    Also that mentality "every dps should have +- the same dps" is a no no for me , if i take a squishy class who is complicated to play and do the same damage as 3 apm class with double my hp , well it's a no go and i feel like looking at the data i am far to be the only one thinking like that , numbers don't lie , for strikes (the most recent updated endgame content) : catalyst below 1% playrate , and tempest/weaver below 2% while you have virtuoso staggering at kitten 14% ... peopel like what is efficient , not too hard to play and have literally 0 downside.

    virtuoso has sustain , great dps uptime , penetration/cleave , big cc , utility (like push or blink for kiting) , ele has none of that if you play the dps traitline and play full offensive and idc about some kitten celestial open world builds hitting like a wet noodle , compare that to a reaper playing full zerk or a herald hitting like a truck with his 25 might fury and quickness 100% uptime...

    i've tryed all weapons and the fact that pistol is basically a scepter 2.0 (who has the condi mainhand role , no other utility) is one of the reason people won't play it , all others spec had something they lack , very straightforward , i'll take the example of chrono who since rifle came out has greatly increased in playrate , on the other hand people start feeling like anet is completely letting down the ele , the poor state of Htemp far beyond any meta healer today , tempest deeps being the only class where you have to channel a lot for pesky skills who don't add much in term of dmg  , and catalyst where if you play with pistol , you will have to keep track of energy , combos for EE , and now pistol bullet mechanic.

    another thing is why did anet switched the effect of the bullets in some attunement ? sometimes it's 2-3 to empower 3 then it's 3-2 to empower 2 (as dps) ... could it no be the same follow up for each attunement ... clearly the designer of pistol hasn't touch ele in the endgame...

    And as far for the extra cc , it's always the same , if you just run out air when a cc bar appears well **** your cc , again other class have way more efficient cc and largely more accessible trough the fight , another reason ele is not played , the extreme lack of cc or accessibility to it.

    Class not played = bad design , not fun , underwheling , and to people who actually play it , you are a minoritry as the data shows , does it make ele bad ? well in my own personal feelings when something isn't use at all like any tool , well it's useless or others tools are way more easier , fun or efficient.

    I really wished for a support mainhand for htemp to pair with warhorn , having some cc , long range healing and fury group access...

    you gonna tell me you will take a bad dps skill as utility just for 200 damage breakbar ... while we have top nuke cc class like thief , mesmer and revenant who trde literally nothing for cc ? skill has a way too long animation to be used in any decent dmg rotation anyway now and was bad befor ethe reowrk , but i agree it's less bad now...

    c'mon , ele need cc build in his rotation , not needing to remove on of your utilitys just for a poor 200 dmg cc skill...

    look at all snowcrow builds , no one is using it , and having to switch it to loose some deeps or survivability (what ele really lacks on dps builds) is a downside that ele doesn't need , i reiterate that ele is the lowest whole class played in endgame for a reason (many reasons) , poor cc , complicated dmg rotation without being more powerfull than others , lowest armor and hp combo of the game , e-spec complicated and scuffed.

    for pve open world whatever you can take any fancy or non sense build you want it will work out for 90% of the content anyway...

    It's essentially a side grade to bulls charge. 

    AOE cc + dmg + blast on a mobility skill with the same CD. 

    Bull's charge does more damage and has 300 breakbar dmg while not being an ammo skill and is a leap combo and is 900 range vs 600 from arcane blast so if i had to take a skill for dmg and cc i would rather take bull charge , cause on the long run this skill will be more efficient (cause math) than arcane blast who's only advantage is being an aoe and having ammo.

  7. on heal alac your weapons doesnt really matter , it's the utility and shroud skills who does all the job.

    Weapons offer boonrip , selfsustain , cc etc ... the only skill really branded towards healing is warhorn 5 who heals , but very little, all people around you if you are near an enemy and torch skill 5 who can get all allys near your target a good slap of might , on the other hand main weapon mostly doesnt matter , dagger is for selfsustain  , sword is mobility and axe is aoe boon rip (while all weapons have a boon rip) so take whatever you want you won't be a less efficient healer if you trade your dagger for an axe as healscourge.

    And while dagger is the top for life force generation , as healscourge it doesn't matter cause you can run Eternal Life and signet of undead who both allow you to spam your sand abilitys without taking care of life force ressource mangement.

    Exactly , arcane wave was a placeholder , you basically try to reach 100% crit. chance so having a skill who has 100% crit. chance and is balanced around that is completely stupid , not saying that the rework is good in any way , it's once again focused on pvp and wvw.

    I can see the old version used in leveling your charcacter for the 100% crit. chance but beside that the skill does very little damage. Only complain is on arcane lightning rework has no more the cool synergy with arcane power stack burning for allys.

    And actually i didn't even try the rework , i can't see any use of it in pve and that's not such rework who's gonna make ppl like elementalist in pve.

By camping rifle you will hinder your clone generation , scepter is definitely really good for that and remind you that you ahve less alacrity on yourself so you need the extra clones for yourself uptime alacrity even if you are quickness you will generate some for you to diminish a bit the counterpart of having alacrity +50% more efficient but 33% less longer

    Otherwise it would work perfectly , but for fractals i would rather use focus instead of shield cause the block from shield will only generate a fantasm on block and if you are not tanking it could be troublesome on some encounters , also foucs has the insane skill 4 grab , trust me your dpses will love you for clumping up 5 mobs in a tiny pixel.

    would also mention the good swap between quickness and alacrity the chrono has and if you make a lfg you should mention that cause you will have an easier way to find people and also some of the damage/support can ask you to swap from alac to quickness if some fights are easier for them as alacrity or quickness dps.

    In raids or strikes you will have no trouble finding groups for chrono healers , but for fractals i am afraid people are still stucked with the hfb omega aegis generator , while you havce very decent aegis generation with chrono trough distorsion and precog. pit who is a 3 aegis in a row being so a great damage mitigator.

    I use only continuum split on static fights (been dead too much on desmina killing walls with continuum split) but here i a great starter if you want amazing boon uptime : rifle 4 2 times then rifle 2 for 3  clones , continuum split use all your shatters skills then use signet of illusion who recharge all shatters use all your pits during the shatters spam, re use all shatters , continuum split procs , re use all shatters then re use signet of illusion and the re re re use shatters , you will give crap tone of boon , aegis over aegis , ton of stab,  making your whole group ignore the first 10 secondes of the fight making it like a raid golem training fight , and a nuts starter for yourself as alacrity uptime and most key boon covered for 20-30 secondes.

    But yeah doing so is not really LI. sorry.

    As title said the reward for cm for soto strikes are the same as Eod at start , till players started to complain anet added the crafting material antique summoning stone as reward.

    So it would be nice to do the same for Soto strikes , i think a chest a week for cm completion with some soto map currency should do the trick as i am (like others i am pretty sure) pretty bored by open world and metas.

    Chest could also give you the choice between 3 options being the one of the 3 250 currency worth material of those maps , once a week i think it's not asking big.

  11. Being able to play an offensive healer , YES ! idc about some plague doctor stuff , the vitality there is a waste 

    Power/healing/précsion/concentration and condi/healing/expertise/concentration plz , also could add a new set of runes like focused on a specific boon like firebrand runes does.

    Kind of understand the point if you mean T3 and lower , you are basically sometimes with "curious puppys" who see the shiny console and think a treat will come out... But there is no solution to your problem sadly , i would say just run t4 + recs and you done .. but this is a half a** solution.

    Under T4 people are still learning fractals , cm and t4 runs are basically the rush group who wants easy quick money money.

The sharing of the conjure is not even a cool thing most ele who have trained on their rotation drop the weapon on the boss to get it while in the rotation so if you happen to have a "kitten off dude" like me who instinctively grab the weapon just for the sake to be silly the whole mechanic is just blatant badly designed , but as i said the spaghetti code of a conjure weapon must be a wired cable nightmare for an anet staff member to touch , so better get it over with , i really doubt anet is gonna change drastically the way the conjure weapons work , and it's not something like augmenting the ratio of AA ice bow healing from 0.5 to 0.6 who's gonna change anything.

    But i hope i am wrong sincerly and that anet will find a way and the courage to completely rework those "gimmick" (to stay polite) skills.

    Ele isn't a strong pick in pve anyway so will the work done on it bring back players like me who enjoyed ele 6years ago and now despite it , i doubt for myself personnaly. But again this is a post where i hope i can say "i was wrong".

  14. It has more become of a ritual than anything , remind me of Arkk encounter we where all full buffed near the singularity and we started the fight right away somebody gg'ed for no reason and he just said "sorry ... the habit ...".

    but i agree on Amam it's more of a waste of time than anything yoru firebrand while amam is doing his contruction animation would have an aegis and stab already ready for the first flamethrower , while i do understand the bladesworn matters.

    People just like to see big numbers on arcpds , especially with their name just near the biggest number.

Problem with dungeons is that it is old stuff not a lot of vets wanna do , most of them are too long for what they give , and as it is an early introduction to a somewhat "endgame" during leveling to players i really doubt anet is gonna change the difficulty , cause you have new players who are usually terrified by the damage the mobs inside do , and the vets who just run trough some dungeons solo like a hot knife trough butter

    so it is really hard to balance those as it needs to be challenging enough for vets but keeped relatively easy for newcomers as they are introduced trough leveling , the balance here is completely broken and when there is content like fractals who are really well balanced , t1 being made for fresh lvl 80 players (-fractale 25 cause boss is a beginner killer) , only dark side is the infusion mechanic who can get rid of any patience.

    And even if you add new rewards as skins , money etc , vets would rush them , get the skin and don't care about the money cause fractals will certainly give more , Arah is a true example of the miserable design of dungeons , really hard to find your way in , mobs do a lot of damage , no clear mechanics way too long, and if you happen to have a thief who knows you can bypass 90% of the dungeon stealthed, not fun in both case.

    sad but dungeons are dead and as they were part of the game at launch the actual team must be afraid to touch them cause it has been made with the old spaghetii code who nobody seems to know how it works , so updating dungeons = plethora of bugs incoming, and game has way enough bugs after any content release.

    So only thing anet can do is update the rewards , but that would only work for a couple of time as players will rush the rewards and get it over with , maybe adding some ascended stuff in the pool of the money trader for dungeons , could help a bit , but trust me most people don't run dungeons because it's old stuff with no interesting mechanic and rewards not worth the time. fractals on the other hand are likable because the rewards are pretty good , they are fast , have some cool mechanics , you can either rush them or not , and can even do them with trainees with t1 fractals, downside is the infusion mechanic who is a time and a money sink.

Simple solution : launch the fractal before asking the lfg , your group will be pleased cause they wil have only one loading screen(- the hub to load) and as others said i had literally no issue with pug group , usually it's the first who has finish loading the screen who choose the next fractal and it's always the cm or the dayli below the one we just did.

    In your case you should just ask why this person changed the frac ... it's really suspicious and i know the issue of loosing someone when you are in the middle of a t4 run , i am honest and i put into the lfg the usuall t4 (minus x because done) but not a lot of ppl want to run 66% of a t4 run , you encountered a selfish duch*** who don't care about the others , personnaly those ppl end up in my BL i don't need any egoistic player in my runs , and when i need to do a specific frac i just tell the group if it is ok if i leave after x fractal , to them to keep or toss me i completely understand.

As said above the emboldened is for players to train more easily on encounters they have hard times on , not to provide players an easy quick source of LI/Kp , and anet disabled all achievements linked to the encounter when emboldened so that's another prove of the goal of this design , you just had to look the lfg the first time w5 was emboldened , it was full of training session.

    Emboldened = train on a boss so you can do it regularly every week without emboldened.

    Cm = as Cyninja stated above.

Because you can do as many cms as you want and to the wing who is emboldened as much as you want , it's only the reward who is really not worth the time.

     

     

     

  18. Ha ,  another reason to play my herald with his permanent 25 might , fury and quickness 100% of the time...

    Was there ever a cooldown ? i remind using the choya transformation and dance to proc combat mode every sec , so i could have 30 secs off all those buffs in just 5 secs

    Well if it is every 90 secs icd i won't even bother collecting them , cya Eod.

    That's killing the fun for open world enjoyers , the only place were you can play however you want and with those boons feels somewhat effective with a weird not synergize build or weapons , literally bringing a spoon of méta in open world... now ppl are gonna play more and more quickness dps provider , killing all the other spec ... You don't give an amazing toy to a child to just steal it after a year and watch the child cry...

    And how the hell is that QOL , it's literally turning your mansion into a hobbo place .... i don't see any quality of life improvement here.

    And in order to do that they need a freaking short cooldown , becasue else you will competely negate the fundamental of ele squeeze as many weapon skills as you could between two attunement swap .... that works for all dps ele , now htemp is another thing 

    Anyway this thread is throwing rocks at fish , anet is never gonna change the conjure weapons they definitly let the ele rot like a rat in pve , and i don't see it change in any ways , the rework to make the whole spec equal in efficiency and complexity to all others classes is way to far tunneling.

    Even if the title looks like a scarcastic rant i am here to ask fellow untamed or any ppl who know which options to turn off in graphics to actually not have to deal with untamed pet skill 3 and staff unleashed skill visual 💩.

    I have a guildmate who enjoy the untamed but we are some in the discord channel ranting when he use the very "greeny" skill effect to a point we cannot see any aoe near us and thus failing mechanics.

    Till anet acknowledge to remove a lot of particules effects from those skills (if they someday do...) , who certainly hinder the popularity of untamed , i wish to provide myself, others guildmembers and other ppl who suffer from the "friendly" fire  with a temporary (maybe definitly) solution to avoid turning gw 2 in a visual exam test.
