  1. So i pretty much exclusively do fractals. They just really appeal to me. I have been doing t3's when there's a group in queue on my main (soulbeast). But I have noticed that in t3 you pretty much start to need a healer. I know you can do them without one, which i definitely have, but having a healer makes them 10x easier and more enjoyable. Very often, there isn't one in groups and its a mess. I would also like to push into t4 at some point. Problem is, I have absolutely almost no knowledge of any classes or really how high level group play looks. I have never done strikes or raids, and dont even know what alacrity is or does. So I decided to make a healbrand because every source says it's the best healer for fractals. It also reminds me of my hpal main in wow. I see two versions on the one build guide I found on youtube. It talks about one that is very tanky and heals a lot, wearing Harrier's (sp?) gear. And then there's a celestial version that heals less, less tanky, but offers some dps. I wanted to get insight from experienced players. Not really looking at going into cm's, as this game is just a hobby, not so much my main game. Just what i do for a break. Do i need to go full heal/tank version in t4's? is the celestial version even viable? thanks in advance. also, any good suggestions for good content creators/build guides for this spec would be great
  2. this is a great response, ty. overall, i really felt that fight was an ok mix of mechanics, though i think they happen a bit too frequently, and they are obviously overtuned. fractals, so far, i feel are overly mechanical. there are a few where i have absolutely no idea what is going on. the one with all the different rooms comes to mind. i have no clue all the things taking place there. are strikes a little more straightforward? i just want to go through my rotation, maybe dodge some things and get back to dps.
  3. A day or two ago, one of the dailies was a 25. I tried with like 2 or 3 groups to beat the last boss, and we never even saw the last phase. The spike in difficulty was way out of proportion, imo. The other players in my group were way more experience than me, judging by their mastery number. They seem to be dying very much. Obviously this is probably just them not picking up on the mechanics, or somehow playing that long and still not knowing them. How do I find better organized groups where I can learn and play with like minded people? My last question is about my rings. Do rings not have place for sigil or rune?
  4. I'm a new player. When I got to path of fire content, it was my first non tyria content. I got to it at the same time I unlocked soul beast and looked into the rotation. The rotation and the spike in difficulty of open world content really sucked the life outta the game for me. I'm still trying to recover. To do the rotation perfectly is insane. At least the one I'm seeing on meta site. I made my own ez version that seems to be doing ok. I need to get the dps meter add-ons and take myself into the fractals I've been doing to get the final word
  5. then what am i playing right now? i went to living world season 1 in the quest log and hit begin story. im running around the black citadel.
  6. I just bought hot and pof like two weeks ago and I'm pretty sure I got all 4 living world season
  7. New player here. When you say "rewarding open world content", exactly what are you referring to? What open world content is better than more difficult instances combat like fractels
