  1. Vallun made the mistake of not remaining truly objectiv (No real Pro & Contra)l. It is clear to everyone that there should definitely be easier classes/stat combos, especially for newer players. But if a stat is so dominantly represented in roaming as this one, then something is not really right. Cele is definitely a problem and often boring to play and against. ArenaNet can still make so many statements but roaming is since RLS an integral part of WvW (maybe not offical supported), which is gladly played by veterans. Since Cele has hardly any use in Zerging (where most newcomers are mostly found) Vallun's statement also just makes not that much sense in my opinion.

    -> They should cut the boon duration and look on the stats it gives overall and balance that. Because with EoD and the Boon Spam kitten only several classes are problematic atm with it.

    But to say there is not any problem with it is not very serious, sorry. Everyone who roams knows and sees that.  Atm it is simply a jack for all things and that is balance wise simply stupid. Tank, Dmg, condi and good heal and alot of Boon Spam in 1 set that has also more stats overall is stupid.

    And the Argument for Ohhh new players need a easy going on set is also confusing because in the hand of a good player this is busted and the vet player will still kill the newbie and that pretty fast. 👻

     Fair points. It's also clear to me that with a 500 cap, server communities will die out, which is a shame. Balance is important, but whether it enhances the game when only faceless masses compete against each other, I don't know. Especially since the hopes of some here is again somewhat credulous. Very many players play with multiple accounts and thus you can create so pretty easy and convenient again an imbalance.  I think it's a big sacrifice to sacrifice the communities for this.

    In addition, Anet also has a very strong USA centrism. In the EU you also have different languages/cultures and there is a reason why a German chose a German server as an example. Sure most people can speak English but it's not the same as before where you could talk to other players in your native language. Language connects and yes I also see it so that just the veterans play mainly because of the others with whom you like to play together. Very delicate subject

    We have some old Gw 1 players who often don't speak English very well. Such players will surely ask themselves in the future if WvW will be so much fun for them. I think not.

    An MMO has social components and that's exactly why people play it. If you soften that more and more, that can also be bad for the game. ArenaNet really has to weigh up what makes sense.

    The thing is, that the system atm is bad because of the 500 peoples cap. My Server has still over 1000 Players at least. 500 Cap is no alliance. It is a guild. And that means that my community where some peoples play since 10 years together are getting cutted in different groups and that would mean they can't play often anymore together.  That is why there is a growing outrage about the "Alliance Update". It also started to make peoples toxic, because guilds which do form an alliance have to decide who can join and who can not.

    And then  there are PvX Guilds which do have 500+ members already. Imagine the chaos they will have. They have to kick out some folks which maybe don't play that much wvw etc. Not nice when you ask me. 

    It seems Anet has not the Manpower for coding a real Aliance with a 2000 cap at least (2500 would be a very good spot).

     The thing is some of them have tradeofs. As Zerker you do not have that much sustain. Minstrel you are tanky as heck but you don't do really dmg. The condi thematic is a problem topic since rls  (i still do not understand why u can burst with condis when it is meant to be a DoT). Also why you only need 2 stat for it but for power 3 are needed is also weird.

     

    Cele is problematic with the boon spam and uptime. Because with them u can hit like a truck but still have the sustain which the stat gives you (beside that cele gives overall more stat than any other gear).  Cele was buffed in the past with no real reason and ofc cmc kittened it up even more when he designed e-specs which benefit alot of from that set.

     

    There is a point why Anet deleted it from Spvp because it goes against the rock/scissor/paper mantra.

     Why should they rework skill/classes/espec when there is simply 1 Set with absurd overpowered stats? Makes no sense.

    That is a kittenload of Cele Builds atm but sure the set is not a problem. They should simply start to delete the boon uptime and then balance the stats. I do not have anything against hybrids but atm it is to strong.

    Cele is a problem and it is also a problem when you nerf a class because of a stupid Stat Set in the game (this can hurt other builds). 

    Cele is overtuned and that is why now every 3the player use it in WvW Roaming. It is the jack for all things on several classes and carry alot.

    i mostly play FA weaver it's very enjoyable to me even though it lacks in cleanses a lot and generally struggles being outnumbered i sometimes get very satisfying results... i have fought plenty celestial builds, sometimes i win, most of the time i don't... but i realize it's because of my lack of ability and weakness to conditions of my build instead of crying about it as if it's some sort of cheating that the other person chose something (that is available to everyone) that has the edge over my build...

     

    do you know what also has the edge over my build? trash thief players that stealth port on me and take 50-70% of my health with 1 button... having 0 counter to it because most of my abilities are targeted... meaning i can't cleave around me like a warrior or engineer, and even if i happen to try and counter the thief if they stealth again they can just heal to full in stealth with me having almost 0 chance of following up on it making stealth a super hard counter to my build you might even say it's damage immunity just because of the way my build works... but that changes if i go with cata hammer and have plenty of AoE attacks including auto attack that cleaves... see? improvise... adapt... overcome... git gud...

     

    but then guess what happens with my hammer build once i face a ranger...

     

    i understand the idea that people want to make their own builds and be able to mix and match whatever because i also find the fun in that... but that is never going to be optimal and everyone will get mowed down by marauder builds...

     

    p.s using 1-2 pieces of another statset like soldier doesn't mean you are using soldier...

     

    You have now written a lot but somehow also nothing. You simply avoid the fact that Cele provides more stats and is considered busted by almost every serious roamer.  Because it is simple mathematics that such a set can not be healthy as it is now in the game. All other sets have their tradeoffs somewhere.

    Joined an "open" tag today, where they required TS3 to join. Apparently it is a German/English commander/group, where they speak only German. Not sure how that is German/English, but ok. So I joined, get the password, get into the squad. The map chat, team chat, squad chat and voice chat are all 100% German. I have no clue what is going on, mute TS3 and just solo play around the tag.

     Maybe because Cele is in roaming even the bigger problem than stealth. And ye it is obvious that some of those Thief stealth QQ peoples are Cele Users. I mean imagine to QQ against thief when u play a Cele Soulbeast and still loosing a 1vs1 against them.

     Thief has a global cooldown system (initiative) which has its pro but also contras.

    And you can pull with alot of classes. And that is only possible when the enemy is very near to the edge and that are mostly tower rangers which spams their skills. Scorpion Wire isn't also easy to land  so i don't see here any problem. Is now the Pull cheesy or the spammer which sits the whole day behind some walls with big range?

    Engi is alot more worse in this regard. Even guards have a better pull than thief. And also your own class has a pull which is compared to thief  much better.

     

    Compare thief to this and you see that your grumble against thief is a bit weird here. We all know now that thief is your hate class nummero uno but pls stay a bit rational.

    Once again, WvW is not balanced for 1vs1. Afterwards, someone should explain to me how a class with only 1 block and an elite on 80 CD and one with the lowest HP pool is supposed to survive something like that. The thief is already not the easiest class to play but that would just be overkill.

    2. No other class has an stationary Debuff in the game. Where is the debuff for Invul etc? The problem is that i can't fight offensivly around towers that good because my defensive and offensive ability is debuffed by NPC or Watchtowers. So a class with abysmal zerg play is even more weak, when your team is attacking a enemy tower. Makes no sense. For me sentries are okay but the watchtowers are stupid af.
