I've been having constant crashes since I started that happen randomly after playing for awhile and opening menus quickly or opening the trading post at all after playing for awhile. Those seemed to be common with the crashes I had, but while going thru every solution with support to fix it, I tried out something unrelated they didn't suggest that might help assist others with this issue.
Their bandaid solution for the problem works well enough, use -ignoreCoherentGPUCrash under launch options or in the target of the executable outside of the quotations.
I installed Rectify 11 2.9.8 which you can find on github if you Google it and let that finish and restart. I did also realize something I forgot to do again when I had reinstalled Windows 11 as a fresh install hoping that would fix the issue: the bloatware.
What I did was:
Launch Windows Powershell as an admin
Run the command DISM /Online /Get-ProvisionedAppxPackages | select-string Packagename
Copy the list it gives you and paste it into any document you can use Find & Replace in.
Remove any lines for programs you know you want to keep.
Find PackageName : and replace with DISM /Online /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName: replacing every instance in the line
Copy and paste the entire list back into Powershell and run it (enter)
It will remove everything included.
I did both of these before playing Guild Wars 2 again, so I'm not sure which of them fixed the issue or the FPS improvement, but I now get better FPS in situations that usually tanked me to about 20 FPS I am now at about 40 in those big clusters and I am usually above 100 FPS to upwards of 250 FPS now. (Wish we had a higher FPS capper)
So yeah I told support this might help them pinpoint the issue for others and they said to post it on the forums so I did. I usually remove the bloatware but I forgot and I've never had Rectify 11 before this.
