  1. Indeed, that is definitely another thing that should be fixed.
  2. To look further into the possible scenarios: If you are running a power based build, you most likely run staff and either hammer or dual swords. With staff and hammer, one is sure to pick VL over FS. With staff and dual swords, the choice depends on your critical chance. The choice made here is of mere optimization. If you are running a condition based build, you most likely do not pick the Devastation trait line at all. If you are running a build with its priority not being dealing damage, then you most likely do not pick Devastation either.
  3. The functionality of these two traits are close to identical to each other, with Vicious Lacerations adding 9.2727% damage at 3 stacks while Ferocious Strikes granting 10% bonus damage at 100% critical chance. Such similarity makes the choice between these two traits vastly meaningless (other than optimization in respect of the expected scenario). Would the developers look into this, and perhaps make some changes so that at least players can make meaningful decisions on their major adept trait selection between these two?
  4. It has been almost 2 weeks since the false clarification given by @Stephane Lo Presti.7258. Could the developers at least let us know if the issue is under investigation? Or, is the case regarded closed?
  5. Dear developers, With the recent change of stat selectable items, including trinkets, maybe it is also a good time to reconsider to bring back those ascended trinkets removed from the laurel merchants back in Sep. 3, 2013? Or, maybe they will eventually return in another form? i.e., following:Jewel of AhdashimStar of ElonaThe Golden LotusSandford's MedallionThe Shiniest ShinyVekk's Solidified Aether CircuitSnaff's GyreYakkington's RingCircle of LightMarriner's CompassArmbrace of TruthEgg of the Crystal QueenConsortium CharmMoon Shell Thank you!
  6. My Mawdrey didn't get reset either, but earlier, @Kuulpb.5412 said his Mawdrey did get reset. So hopefully ours do too if they ever decide to fix this. Mines got reset successfully. So did my Mordrem Loop.
  7. Are we expecting any follow-up on the issue this week? In my case the LS3 ascended trinkets and Wylenn's Manual of Style still have not been reset. Without further official notification, it is hard to decide if I should keep on waiting or go straight farming some more. Thank you!

  9. For a long time, Marksmanship has been the preferred specialization over Skirmishing in the suggested setup by [dT] and Snow Crow, and ditto on the wiki site Metabattle. It provides: a flat 5% overall damage increase, permanent, with Farsighted, and, a 15% overall damage increase, if target is movement impaired or disabled, with Predator's Onslaught. On the other hand, specialization in Skirmishing at its best could provides: a flat ~4.76% critical chance increase, permanent, for 5 allies, with Spotter, a 10% critical chance increase and ~16.66 critical damage increase, permanent, for self, with Vicious Quarry, and, a 10% critical chance increase if flanking, for self, with Hunter's Tactics. Bleeding for 3 sec, 33% chance on critical hit, with Sharpened Edges, which is trivial on a power build. Say, we have a Soulbeast in full Ascended Berserker gear with S. Rune of Scholar, in Beastmode with Rock Gazelle. If specialized in Marksmanship, this is what the expected damage would look like:GS Damage = Power [(77.86% 180.33%) + 1] 1.05 1.15 = 290.29%, assuming target is permanently movement-impaired/disabled. (I believe the assumption is practical?)x/Axe Damage = Power [(77.86% 188.40%) + 1] 1.05 1.15 = 297.79%, ditto.(Build refenece: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQNAR3XnUqAVsgtCCm8Cs8il8A7pOsEyALBgCwpL/9ef7vl49EA-jhRBABmpEkS1fM+iKc1+jyP809AwTKgUARMZD-e) If specialized in Skirmishing, then:GS Damage = Power [(92.62% 197.00%) +1] = 282.46%; while 297.00% if constantly flanking.x/Axe Damage = Power [(92.62% 205.06%) + 1] = 289.93%, while 305% ditto. (Build reference: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQNAR3XnUqAVsgtCCm8Cs8ilCBj5d1uSd5X3vb59pLMDCAl49EA-jhRBABA8kCua/R5nxXUBKV/BPdPmpEkUARMZD-e) The results seem rather close to me (2.7% ~ 2.8%; 2.3% ~ 2.4%). Bleeding with Sharpened Edges would also contribute, though I believe on a power build it would not suffice. The main factor to consider would be whether the flat ~4.76% critical chance increase with Spotter for your allies would make up for the difference. If it does, then it would not be a bad alternative if your group happens not to have a Druid for Spotter. Also, for Fractals, there are potions, and for Raids, Banners and other factors must be taken into account, and perhaps one has to recalculate the entire whole thing. Just some preliminary crafting here. Please do let me know if there is anything I failed to account for!
  10. Dear ArenaNet Developers, Would you please consider making a gem store consumable item that allows players to reset the character core story line? I believe many of us would really like to enjoy the story again, as we are now able to for living story, without having to create a new character. It'd be even nicer if the consumable would let us change the biography and the following branching decisions, allowing us to modify the story parts that in retrospect do not really fit the character, regarding the role-playing aspect, without having to delete the current character. Thanks for looking into this!
