  1. For me most concerning the fact that you ALSO need to unlock stuff first which kind of break whole point of having legendary gear. It's like "if you want to have Viper stats on your weapon, you need to unlock Ascended version with Viper stats first".
  2. On GW2 wiki clearly stated: ... It will be introduced in the Update 2 of the Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure expansion cycle in early 2024 .... Players who have crafted at least one Legendary Rune before the Secrets of the Obscure Update 2 release will receive the Legendary Relic for free. After the release, it will be available for crafting similarly to other legendary items
  3. I also find it strange that defending is not counted unless the keep is attacked. If you see people running towards you, you hit them with AC, they get scared and run away - game doesn't count it as "defending".
  4. Interesting idea. Not sure how you plan to judge who is "need to work on their build" or not. There are loads of people with perfectly OK meta builds that haven't played for a while or learn or just bad. So I don't think this will work. Same goes for DPS. You can't have "at leat 15K dps" limit for people to join WvW. Sure, getting to WvW maps is a challenge after SotO release but I think we should be happy for many new people who are willing(or forced) to experience this new and exciting game mode). Without alliance or any kind of rank matching in place it will be hard to achieve good balance between new players and veterans. There are many people who have several accounts so "hours played" or "rank" might not always be a good indicator. Very often WvW is numbers game. The one with bigger zerg wins. Not always of course, but very often. So it makes less/no sense to make empathies on individuals. It's all about zergs and you will never learn how to play WvW if you can't be part of it with experienced players and commander on voice chat. That's why I think it might be good to mix new players along with veterans. We should have an open community and help people to learn with tips and advices. I think there should be room for people to take short breaks (5-15min) from WvW without loosing their spot on the map. I also find it very limiting that you can't reload to another character without loosing your place in queue/map. At the same time we often end up in a situation when we have full raid, queue for people to join, someone leaving the raid but map queue not moving. This is caused by people leaving the raid group but still staying on the map "running into a wall". Reporting those those people doesn't help. Same goes for other game modes. If you report an idle person in PvP nothing happens. One person in WvW is not a big deal. But in 3v3 matches it is. I find it unfair that scouting or just hitting players with arrow carts or any other tools without them dying doesn't give you any participation rewards. You are counted as "AFK" player and loose your participation despite trying your best to help the team. We have one person on our server that keeps running around and pulling all the tactics available. That person was reported millions of times and still, that person continues to do what he wants. It would be nice if Anet could address this in some way. I like an idea of a bit more strict rules for full maps but it's hard to find a balance to make is "fair". You could also propose giving guild members priority in joining the map if there are already one or several guild members there. There are pros and cons there as well.

  6. There is one more negative aspect of new dailies that I have discovered yesterday. You can't change the categories for them. Normally, I would login into the game, check what dailies I have and depending on how much time I have to play today I choose dailies that would suite me. With new system when I login I already get a fixed number of dailies that are based on previous day selection of areas (PVP, WVW, PVE) that i have pre-selected. So if today I don't have time for WvW - I can't remove it from today's daily list. I can only remove WVW from tomorrows list. I have no idea how much time and in what mood I will be tomorrow. Maybe I will have time to capture towers and escort Dollies - or maybe I wont. This new daily system forces you to PLAN AHEAD what type dailies you would like to do tomorrow. This is ridiculous. Why not pop up this selection window when you login for the first time!? "Hi, what type of dailies do you want to do today?". Then I could remove WvW from my selection if I know that I can't or not in the mood for WvW. Instead I can only remove WvW from tomorrows selection.
  7. I had the same thing with my wife where we did dailies together. Now they are totally different and even if I help her - I get nothing for that. Before I could do my PvPs/WvW dailies, help her with PvE and get credit for them as well (as well as extra loot). Now all this is gone.
  8. I like the new location but i'm disappointed by the way game is going. There is a game called Rift and Anet basically ripped off main mechanics from it regarding the rift closing. I felt like playing "that other game" all the time yesterday when i was closing rifts. Then there are mages "from Gryffindor" and buildings that looks like a copy of Hogwarts. Really?! I was expecting new content but new map seems like a "trial version" of all the zones. It's really disappointing that game designers decided just to reuse existing zones instead of creating something new and unique. New masteries feel far fetched as well. I was able to get 100% map completion with a "stock" Skyscale. So I don't see why someone should care unlocking them a part from some extra convenience. Ability to open arcane chests - same FU from the designers like in EoD where you also needed to unlock it "just because". Rather weak. I liked the fact that even if you had a Skyscale you would still be able to raise it (i haven't found an egg yet). But why exactly now everyone "gets Skyscale for free"!??? It was the whole point of the mount to be an ultimate endgame thing. Original Skyscale quest chain was one if the best quest in the whole game, imho. You actually had to work for it, you suffered for it, you raised it. That's why acquiring your Skyscale was a really emotional thing because you have been through all this trouble to get and raise it. New zone is unplayable without one. That's why it's rather strange decision to simplify acquisition process of Skyscale instead of making it available in new location as a hire but you still need to do the proper unlock sequence. Not to mention all the people who already wasted time and money on unlocking one. There were several bugs that stopped progression. I was able to go around them but it took some time and caused a lot of frustration. LA was fuming yesterday due to that. Change to daily system is a HUGE letdown. It's the main disappointment for me (so far). There are plenty threads about it already on the forum.
  9. I had to log off after completing Chapter 2 due to "timeout" issue that locked me in story instance and I was unable to leave it. After that I ended up back in Tyria (Gendarran Fields). Marker for Chapter3 pointed to LA (portal square) but it was pointing between two portals. It was a HUGE number of players there. Everyone was stuck in LA and was unable to proceed with their story and get to new locations. You had to use Teleport to a friend to get there. I guess someone forgot to place a portal there or haven't tested logging of after completing the chapter. This is an unacceptable bug that really spoiled people's day and wasted a lot of players time.

  11. I totally agree. Old daily system was perfect. You had a big selection of actions to do. You could combine them at your leisure. Now you have to commit to a category before even knowing what it's going to be. Also, one could complete MORE than 3 necessary daily for some extra loot and gratification. Now this is impossible. I'm indifferent on getting rewards that YOU provide or being able to get currency in order to be able to purchase the reward of MY choice. As long as I can get my 2g along with it - I'm fine with it. Yes, every 2g counts. I'm not a big fan of new interface for it either. Why daily in one totally separate window but rest of the dailies are under daily achievement tab!? Please, bring the old daily system back. This new daily system is a downgrade for the players. Especially for casual ones. P.S. If it's not broken - don't fix it.
  12. Hi! This is a repost from another thread. I hope you could assist me with this. Hi! Yesterday days ago was the last day of SAB activity which I totally adore. When I logged in into the game timer said that I had one hour left of SAB to enjoy. To fully enjoy it I decided to try and see how long I can come in the tribulation mode in World 2 Zone 2. I knew that time was ticking so I had to rush. While inside of the level I got no timer nor notification that SAB event was finished. I think it was a good design decision to let people finish what they were doing and not just kick them out. So I kept dying. After almost 2.5 hours and over 300 continue coins I finally managed to complete that zone. One particular jump turned this run into a long painful experience... Anyway, after zone completion I was awarded Storm Wizard Z-2 coin but to my utter shock and disappointment I was NOT awarded Zone 2 completion in "Connoisseur of Pain" achievement. I wonder if this is a bug in the game or is this expected behaviour? If you allow people to play the game and plan not award them achievement I think it's only fair to let people know about by some kind of ingame prompt or warning message. If I knew that I would not get Connoisseur of Pain counted I would probably not waste 2h on that. The worst thing is that now, you won't be able to reward me that part of the achievement completion, I will have to spend at least 2h more in order to get it next time SAB will be available again. Please, look into this issue and, if possible, award me credit for something that I did in the game and actually deserve. I think that game should be fair but not giving achievements for completed stuff is not.
