  1. We are recruiting again. We currently have ~50 members and are looking to expand just a smidge. Couple of updates since I last posted here: We are a few days away from having a max level guild hall! We have paused our raid static, but have training sessions when there is enough interest, and the option of a static is still on the table. Want to highlight one of our more popular weekly events: we run a strike tour that goes through the 2 SoTO strikes, 3 EoD strikes (no Harvest Temple for convenience), and IBS5 + Cold War. We typically get through all of this in 1.5 hours and it is very smooth and new-player (or new-striker) friendly. We --- a bunch of casuals --- cleared Cosmic Observatory Challenge Mode in one session (did take us several pulls :D) --- with minimal frustration While we still are very much a late night guild, we are looking to provide more opportunities around server reset, so don't let our late night focus turn you away.
  2. Hey there circuitnerd --- you sound like the perfect kind of person we are looking for. Please see the link below and let me know if you are interested!
  3. I was apprehensive coming into Tuesday's changes for Vindicator. I do not enjoy using Energy Meld. That said, in a PvE Power DPS context, I think this works out to be a quality of life / feel nerf and a slight DPS buff. I had to unlearn the "old ways" and build some comfort with using Energy Meld, but it does fit into a minimally modified Snowcrows rotation (skipping Energy Mend entirely while in Shiro as you don't have any energy to spare, and then use it in Alliance right before the standard dodges in the rotation). This allowed me to hit my highest single loop (partial, since the 1M HP golem dies before the entire loop completes) benchmark yet (this is without stat infusions btw): DPS: 43,744 Damage: 1,009,620 Time: 23 I'm not sold that this is an overall improvement, as the feel is worse, and adds an additional button for my tired fingers to press πŸ˜….
  4. Let's keep this discussion focused on scepter. We can agree to disagree here --- or take it to another topic if you feel passionate about it. Last thing I'm going to say is that it would be simple to make the behavior of the tablet attach to a person if you have an ally selected when you press the move tablet skill --- and in any other case, keep its behavior as is.
  5. @arazoth.7290 To respond to your point --- I did not suggest that the attach functionality I suggested would replace the ability to freely move the tablet. You put words in my mouth! It would be simply another tool in the kit --- i.e., you can freely place the tablet AND ALSO attach it to a person, if you so desire. Been playing Rev for 8 years, pretty sure I can move the tablet just fine πŸ˜„
  6. Just got done with a small bit of testing as well. I was hoping that scepter had some offensive potential --- but it really seems pigeonholed into support (as expected). It looks like it fills in some gaps in heal rev's kit, but it is not a particularly fun weapon to use. I don't like the feel or flow of Otherworldly bond, and its 3 pips of upkeep makes it quite awkward to use in conjunction with herald, where you are already dealing with a lot of other upkeep. I'd honestly be happier with a ventari rework (and quality of life improvement) --- where you could attach the tablet to people, and have it provide some barrier (etc.).
  7. We have a raid static (currently full and only taking alternates --- but if we have enough interest we might run a second group) that runs weekly, and occasionally host raid trainings. All of our "prime time" events start at 10pm PT
  8. I have not been checking the forums regularly --- my bad --- please check your forum message inbox @theFantasea.4061, @Alrick.1852, @Maelstrom.7639
  9. <NA> <PvX> We Fight Sleep [COFE] - Have night owl tendencies? Come fight sleep with us. Late night focus (9pm - 12am PST) but also have occasional day time events. Looking for fellow night owlsπŸ¦‰and caffeine quaffers as well as those who find themselves still playing when the rest of their other guilds / friends have logged off for the day. No requirements. We currently do a mix of Strikes, Raids, PvP, WvW, and PvE activities such as metas and fishing. We welcome new players and veterans. We are also looking for people interested in growing into leadership positions within the guild. Reply if interested!
  10. I know others feel the same. I see the pros of the current system. But in a ranged setting (and remaining at range for whatever reason), overloading is just a longer way to do what other classes can do without channeling (i.e., provide boons/buffs) This is an interesting idea. Might have the potential to be too strong though. The more important thing for me is the 2nd QoL suggestion I made. I'd like it if there were more reasons to want to use all the overloads in a DPS context. What I like about Hammer on ele is that it gives you incentive to be in each attunement (Hammer #3). I feel that Tempest does the opposite --- if you don't need to provide healing/cleansing, you can and probably should skip water attunement (and definitely not overload it). Moreover, the damage-oriented overloads are not made equal. If you are condi-focused, there is very little reason to consider overloading Air. But then again --- I know people want there to be a less try-hard spec available to eles, where you can camp 1 or 2 attunements and do almost all of your damage / be at maximum effectiveness. So there is that to consider too. Class design is hard.
  11. These have probably been suggested before, but I think Tempest could really use the following quality of life improvements: Change Tempest Overloads to behave like Hammer Air #2, which is both a ranged AoE and has free movement throughout the channel. Change Tempest Overloads to pulse a consistent set of conditions, or have a trait that does this, so that condi tempest dps does not drop off a cliff while overloading pretty much anything except fire.
