  1. After the Beta i said its useless after like 5 Min. Today i unlook it and did not even try it. We play a Game with 3 Gamemodes. Lets split PvE in 2, open World and Fractals / Raids / Strike Missions, so its 4 Gamemodes. Oh end lets split WvW in GvG and WvW, so its 5 Gamemodes. In every single Gamemode this Weapon finds Player that says its ok / good, or its not. But i dont even see the Point of needing it, because we allready got better Options. This Options iam talking about are other Classes. Now you could say but with the Rev we now get our own way of playing it diffrent,. Yes you could say that. But still, the Meta says and the Meta is the thing that counts in most of all GuildS or LFG Groups, we allready got better Options. Arena Net knows that and did it anyway the Way it is now, so nothing to big will change, because Arena Net dont play the Game but knows it better then the own Playerbase of 5 more, or less diffrent Gamemodes!
  2. I think there is a huge missunderstanding here. Because you think the new Content is for you. But most of the Soto Content is made up for new Player. The best and fastes Way to get legendary Armor is in Soto, you dont need a kill Proof or a Rank. The best and fastes Way to get a flying Mount is in Soto. It took me like 2 Days , not 48H. All Meta Events in Soto are so easy that you need no one to explain how they work. There is no organisation need it. And on Top of that we got Rift Events on the Core Maps that would be allmost dead, if the Veteran Playerbase would not grind for the new Armor. Its like Arena Net shows you some Sweets and you all fall for it, without understanding whats realy going on. There is nothing in this Expansion made for me. The Armor dont looks legendary to me, not even with bling bling it could look good, and iam into that Fashion Wars Game spending all my Gold for Infusions and Gemshop Skins. The legendary Relics is like sombody said before, i only use 4 on 8 diffrent Gear Sets and still got 32 Relics Chests. The new Weapon..., take a look on my Avatar Picture Revenants are one of the big loseres..., i guess i never will use it, and did not need it. I dont Play Strikes so whats left? Right absolute nothing! Oh Wait did i allready said everything is way to easy to get? Few hours after the release i saw allready sombody wearing the new armor..., few hours... , ok one more thing because i know you. When the Raid Armor comes out it took months to build it Step by Step from Update to Update..., it wars a journy
  3. Basics Revenant: Revenants manipulate the Mists in the battlefield. Capable of channeling legendary figures in order to have access to different skills, Revenants use a special resource called Energy in order to cast their abilities. They have enough flexibility to play multiple roles during a battle, depending on their Legend of choice. It is only available to players that have purchased either the Heart of Thorns or the Path of Fire expansion. Thief: Thieves use their initiative to fuel their weapon skills, dishing out quick chains of damage before slipping away into the shadows with stealth. The other part of their specialty is stealing - each enemy has a number of items which provide stolen skills to the thief to turn the fight. Warrior: Masters of martial combat, warriors have access to a wider selection of weapon types than any other profession, allowing for a multitude of play styles. Warriors' unique resource, Adrenaline, is built through sustained attacking and can be spent to unleash powerful burst attacks during combat. Traits or Utility that gain Energy / Initative / Adrenaline Revenant: Ancient Echo, Charged Mists and of course channeling Legends Thief: Unload, Kneel, Eat Egg, Signets of Power (Critical Strikes), Shadow's Rejuvenation (Shadow Arts), Upper Hand (Acrobatics), Kleptomaniac (Trickery), Quick Pockets (Trickery), Maleficent Seven (Deadeye), Warrior: Adrenaline Rush, Counterblow, Riposte, Parry, "To the Limit!", Blood Reckoning, Signet of Fury, Berserker Stance, Outrage, Shattering Blow, Sundering Leap, Wild Blow, Imminent Threat, Signet of Rage, Head Butt, Berserk, Opportunist (Arms), Furious (Arms), Shield Master (Defense), Merciless Hammer (Defense), Cleansing Ire (Defense), Versatile Rage (Discipline), Axe Mastery (Discipline), Burst Mastery (Discipline), Loss Aversion (Spellbreaker) Revenants only got 3 Traits / Mechanics to gain Energy but need it for allmost every Skill and on top of that we got so high Energy coast on some Skills that we can do nothing else if we use em like Jade Winds! As Revenant i got to keep my Eyes on Cooldowns, Endurance, Energy, Health and some other Game Mechanics in Fight. But and that what this is about, Arena Net did allready mess up Core Mechanics..., Basics..., before messing around with the Elite Spec Vindicator. Its an Elite Spec but Arena treat it like its not. What is the the special thing abot the Vindicator after Arena Net nerfed the Geatsoword and now messing around with the Dodge Traits?
  4. 5 min test! i play pve and wvw, but i dont see any use of the new weapon, because i dont get anything i need, no damage, no support..., its useless to me
  5. Main Rev Sorry but this Weapon is Pretty useless at the Moment. I dont see the Point of wearing it in PvE, PvP, or WvW without playing Heal, because of Fact 1: Barrier Stacks with Healing Power, so in Order to get a high Barrier frome the Scepter Skill that can Block high Damage income, you need to play Heal or the Barrier is going to be too weak to Block 1 single Hit in any game Mode! Fact 2: To push your Healing Power you need to play the Legendary Centaur Stance and with it comes Project Tranquility: Project Ventari's tablet into the world. The tablet will heal allies near it every few seconds. And Ventari's Will Legendary Centaur. Will the tablet toward the target location. If you got to move in fight you got to move Ventari's tablet on your own aswell. So you need to keep an Eye on your Allies your Energy the Fight and the Tablet at the same Time. Your Eyes also need to be everywere all at once and thats why most Revs dont like to play the Legendary Centaur in the first Place... Fact 3: Now you got to chose between the Herald Trait Elevated Compassion: Heal allies when you grant them boons. Grant Boons to allies when your upkeep cost is equal to or higher than the threshold. Or the Vindicator Trait Saint of zu Heltzer: The affected area of your dodge is increased. You now heal allies in an area when you land instead of dealing Damage. Outgoing healing is increased for a period of time upon landing. (Drop from above, granting Barrier and Healing to allies in the affected area.) Because now you grant Might with the Scepter to allies and could heal them if you play Herald or you Heal dodge and grant a second high Barrier and... Heal but you only get might and as Healer giving might i dont need to wear the Scepter, because most off everybody else in my Party gives allready Might... Fact 4: If The Scepter become a Closecombat Weapon, you gonna wear a Shild off Hand, because it can Block and Heal and cleans Conditions if you trait (Anet is about to change that), but the Staff is doing all of it allready and also can knock back, so you choose at the End again but now between Scepter & Shild and or Staff. Sure you could wear both weapons, but most Rev Healer in Game dont play only Heal and wear a Hammer or a Shortbow as second Weapon Set to kite, or Sword / Sword for more dps. So it would be by far better if the Sceper would be a range Weapon...
  6. first things first..., basics as comander you need player on the map, in your squad, so open up lfg and search for alac dps and quick. (fun fact you dont need 10 alac and quick player) but it would be nice to have more player playing it so (get the gear) group 1 dps (berserk or viper gear) group 2 alac is support (divine or ritu gear) group 3 quick is support (divine or ritu gear) pro tip: you need dps in your squad! So build dps groups to max the damage for every single player in it. a dps group looks like 5 player only so one of each is the best 1 guard got a low healthbar (it allways provides boons to the group to stay alive) 1 warrior got a high healthbar (it can be condi, power, or quick) and he can be top dps in the squad 1 engi..., i dont play piano but even i know (it can be condi, power hybrid alac, or quick) it shares boons 1 thief got a low healthbar (it can be condi, power and alac) 1 ele got a low healthbar (it can be condi, power and alac) it shares boons 1 mes got a mid healthbar (it can be condi, power and alac) it shares boons 1 nec got a high healthbar (it can be condi, power and quick) 1 rev got a mid healthbar (it can be condi, power, alac, or quick) it shares boons (some heal skills are group heals, so you dont need a healer if you keep that in mind) good dps groups are 1 alac, 1 quick, 3 diffrent dps for lets say dps and to share other boons for even more damage like might. aegis on the other side is a free block to every class with a low healthbar and some of them dont got much stability, so dont put 3 guards in a group, because it can be aegis and stabilty for 15 player blocking the thronehearts knockdown a knockdown is a damage lose, aoe knockdowns is a damage lose to the entire squad. So building stupid groups is a damage lose frome the start because of so many facts i dont even talk about. now that you got your 10 groups, you need to tell them were to go. btw we dont live in china, we read from left to right and we count 1, 2, 3, 4... or read a, b, c, d... so its allways at the first split: group 1-5 east & 6-10 west (its not the other way around) the second split is like escort, so it is allways group 1-3 east, 4-7 mid (south) & 8-10 west. (first things first: keep in mind that every event scale up with player numbers. at escort you like to have less monster spawns on east & west and in the second split group 4-7 fight the stongest boss) if you make splits like group 1-3 west at escort, but 1-5 east at the first split and 1-3 west at the second split again, some player go east if they should go west, and west if they should go east. Thats why i allready said something like, we on the westside of the world allways read 1a, 2b, 3c... now you got your groups and splits we need a plan of what is coming so this is about comminication Bossphase: 80% green (dps only for the damage buff to make more damage. refill emp after) 60% first split (group 1-5 east & 6-10 west. bunny cc and at 10% healt, damage stop. refill emp after) 40% green again (still only dps builds because hybrid builds like alac & quick are to weak. refill emp after) 20% second split like escort (group 1-3 east, 4-7 mid "south", & 8-10 west. bunny cc and at 10% health, damage stop. refill emp after) there is allways a new player on the map, or somebody not doing this every day, so explain things like what about the breakbar. if you got your dps groups and do green, you allready deal way more damage, but if you break the breakbar aswell its even more damage. So talk to your squad to break the breakbars. tell them to refill emp after green and splits. tell them to use the bunny at the splits to break the champs bar fast and do more damage. tell them to use cc skills or talk about what to do if the tail is up. are you going for the tail, or leave it, talk about it before you give random orders in the fight. because some in your squad might be are allready dead, some others are down, some are traped and you give random orders to half of the squad and some of them are new to the meta dont know what you want them to do or explain basics like dead player and events scales or whats the thing with the green fields, whats to do if green is up and what is it good for, who should do it or why do we kill thronehearts or just keep failing like a noob
  7. At 60% Soo Won Phase did not Stop! At 60% Tsunami and Twister killed most of all Player in my Squad before we get the Spear to attack Soo Won! From now on the Twister is the whole Time up and pulls everybody from the Battlefield, that is to close to the edge, like the spot to attack the Tail. Its attack, dodge, attack, dodge, attack and fall down... over and over again...
  8. I dont play Raids but i know the Meta and Alacrity (Support), or Condition Damage is not Power, if Power is need it. And you can play a Guard allready on Condition Damage, Power, or Support in the Meta even without the new Espec, like most of all other Classes in all Gamemodes. But its not only about PvE, PvP, or WvW, its more about what we allready got and the Rev got allready Espec´s for Condition Damage and Support. You can Play both Espec´s as Condi, Power and Support, but in a Raid for Example no one needs a Power Herold only, or a Power Renegade only, or a Power Vindicator only. Same goes for PvP and WvW, because in all Gamemodes we allready got better Options. Thats makes the Vindicator useless the way the Espec is at the Moment in all Gamemodes. And all you do is complain about animations, or what ever you talk here... r
  9. Main Revenant and for me the Vindicator is at the Moment Dead by Design! Last time i need to write something in English is over 20 Years ago, so i try to keep this short. First of all, a few little Changes dont want to fix the Vindicator and i think the Community allready made most of there opinion about this clear. So i dont need to repeat everything. But i got some good ideas and like to start with the Dodge. The Revanant was Born in the Mists and because of that the Vindicator Dodge should be a Jump through the Mists, give the Boons Stability and Swiftness and could be a Explosion Finisher. Why is Stability and Swifness so important for this Dodge? Because you can interrupt it and the Vidicator is slow. For me thats need to be the first Maintrait. The second Maintrait need to be a Boon Reward for Block Skills. With the Espec Vindicator he got two Weapon Block Skills on Greatsword Skill 4, or Staff Skill 3 and the Boon must be Vigor. Because no matter if you go for Damage, or Heal Vigor is the most important Boon for the Vindicator, to Dodge soon again as long he got a only one Dodge Mechanic in a while. And as long someone need to decide between a Trait that gives Vigor, the other two Traits in that Line need to be better then a Block, or a Dodge in a fight Game. Even without these Changes is Imperial Guard at the Moment by far the best Greatsword Skill. But the Cooldown is to high for the only one Dodge Mechanic in a while and the Damage to low in the Moment you going to play a Heal, or a Support Build. Thats why we take a closer look to the Staff now: You can Block, clean Conditions, Heal and got a strong CC. What does the Greatsword got again, only one Block and more Damage. But the Damage is bad and is not getting better by Trait, like most of all other Greatsword Skills in the Game. No matter if i take a look for the Guard, or the Warrior Traits, they get Might. Sometimes Boons Heal them like the Necromancer (Reaper) if he does Chill = Might = Heal. The Vindicator on the other Side got nothing like that. The Guard got Whirling Wrath, the Warrior got Hundred Blades, the Vindicator got Eternity's Requiem with a higher Cooldown and random Hits. Sometimes it Hit nothing (could be a bug) but anyway if it Hits something the Damage is way to low. If you go for Support its not getting better and the Staff is by far the better choise then anyway. One last thing. At the Moment the Greatsword is the wrong Weapon for this Espec, because most of all other Weapons the Revanant got are still better. Thats why the Greatsword Skills should at least swap Skills like the Utility Skills does for Damage, or Heal / Support. But i would prefer a choice between this two Legends, because i like to play Power and there still is no real Power Espec. Herald is Support (Shild), Renegade is Condition (Bow) and the Vindicator is Support (Greatsword) again? The Greatsword is a waste to this Espec the way it is, but i would love to see my Revenant one day holding Eternity in it Hands, because the Name is Titania Eternity and to use Eternity Skills would be fun^^ P.s.: The Beta Test was no fun for me, because i hate most of everything about the Vindicator (i like the Idea). It was like no one in your Team ever played the Herald, the Renegade, the Revenant, or the Vindicator before by him self and knew at the End what will come out if your Team mix up Bs Mechanics with Bs Skills and Bs Traits. I mean this needs a complete Rework, or it will be Dead by Design at release again. And this is not a Pandemic fould, its just lazy Creation of People that not into their own Game!
  10. In Guild Wars i was doing The Fissure of Woe, Gate of Anguish and The Underworld in my Alliance or Guild, when we were not in any Dungeon. But in Guild Wars 2 most Player in my Guild do not even play together anymore, because there is no new Guild Content for us... Arena Net´s Roadmap for this Game is way to slow for Guild, Group and Singleplayer Content! P.s.: GW2 Storyline is bad…, like boring…, or lame!
  11. I am Famous The best place for champion rush or any other event you can farm for almost seven years now is in my own random squad! For example, i know over 60 champ locations in vanilla gw2 and they all give marks. The biggest downtime in my farm is when i got to pee and no bottle around… I am just kidding, i go for a legend and afk. So there is no real downtime as long i find something my squad can do in between. We ride our mounts from champ to champ and move from map to map or use waypoints and press a lot skill 1 as quick we can. I go fast and we kill fast so if you see me in lfg you should join me if you can go fast too, because if i join your map and you are not in my squad it could be that i destroy your farm for a wile. And that is what i am famous for! "its the blue commander, he kills every champ again wile we doing something else, report him" P.s.: I like to write like Yoda talks, because i am a old Sith Grandmaster from Germany ^^
