  1. Yeah exactly. But even if those changed during the data sets I took (I usually use a control check afterwards to see if this happened) that change should still be linear from there on out. It doesn't explain spikes all over the place with every check (and at the same exchange rate, because you can just go back between the two fast and check if it's still the same). One of the more interesting data points I've got from the last try is:Gems - Total Cost in Copper - Per Gem Cost in Copper400 1539932 3849.83500 1926499 3852.998600 2309898 3849.83 It's super fascinating that it changes for 500 but gets back to exactly the same per gem cost for 600 compared to 400 (no where else in the data set with increments of 100 did it do this). I haven't checked yet if this is the case more often.
  2. So I noted some conversions down and made some graphs. Some general observations: Gems are incredibly more pricey in small amounts.Gems mostly get cheaper the more you buy of them, but this decrease in costs does slow down, and it isn't smooth. There's bumps of seemingly random increases before it goes back down again at certain values and I haven't found the logic in this yet. Here's a link to some data observations and graphs. That's what I (with some feedback from other players) have been able to figure out about it so far. If you have any insight into how or why this works this way, let me know. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
  3. Like I said, this isn't the supply and demand price fluctuation. Supply and demand doesn't explain why gems are priced differently based on how many you buy at once at the same time. If it was purely supply/demand based, the price would be a set price and it wouldn't matter if you bought say 400 or 4000 gems at once as long as you buy them at the exact same market situation. But it does. And what I'm trying to figure out is why.
  4. There is, but that in no way explains a difference. 15% is 15%. It doesn't change per transaction, so it doesn't explain the non-linear prices. If I take 10% of everything you sell and you sell 10 icecreams for 1 Euro each, I'll take 10 cents 10 times = 1 Euro.If you then decide you might as well sell icecreams per 10 for 10 Euros, I'm still taking 10% = 1 Euro. There is no difference.
  5. So I never exchanged gold to gems before, and wanted to a little while ago, but I noticed something weird. The exchange rate jumps a lot (and not the change every couple of minutes or so based on trade volumes) depending on what you put in. I tried putting in 1-2-3-4-5 gems just to see what the price per gem was but the jumps are all over the place. So then I tried 100 gems and compared it with 10. One would expect 10 gems would cost 1/10th of 100 gems. But 100 gems would cost me 40.52.17 while 10 gems are 4.28.28. Now if you x10 that, you'd get 42.82.80. These rates aren't as crazy as I have found some cases, but it's still super weird and I'm confused. If it's not a per-gem price, what are these prices based on? And at what amounts is the exchange rate best? Please help because I have no clue how this works.
  6. None of the Faction Mobilization events did. You get a mail though with some intro the first time you log in when the event is on. I'm mostly just sad there are barely any items this week, while the missions are more doable than the last time. There are only 2 skins this time around.
  7. Yes this is EU. It didn't happen later tonight though. Seems really random.
  8. Earlier tonight (at around 19:50 GMT+1) I had roughly 65 gold worth of gold (from cancelled buy listings) and items disappear, some appeared very briefly in my pick up box but then disappeared, and other stuff just never got there. Initially the TP worked for me, but when I cancelled these trades it bugged out. Anyone else having problems tonight?Any known communication or work in progress on fixing it from Anet that people are aware of?
  9. Yeah I just found it through further searching.Which is super weird as I don't even have the Desert Mystery Tonic unlocked, so it's definitely the Branded Tonic that caused it.
  10. So I got transformed to this the first time I used my Endless Branded Tonic, but it's not a Branded transformation, and I can also not get it back now. On top of that, this seems to be a Veteran Harpy Matriarch, and the wiki makes no mention at all of a tonic existing for that. Was this just a super rare bug? The transform was kinda nice, I want it back now.. http://imgbox.com/zFSw1lc1
  11. If you put items up at that time, you'll still have those items in your inventory now (or wherever you keep them) as the rollback has put them back. So it makes sense that you didn't get to double-dip and also get the money for the sale on tp.
  12. Stuff listed earlier (in my case some weeks ago) does work with bugged accounts, just new listings or direct sales or thrown into the void.
  13. Some other players have tried for me and some reported functional sales, while others report their items going missing as well with no gold in return or transaction history. So this seems to only affect some accounts (but all their sales).
  14. Buying items seems to work (you actually get the items) but selling items results in them, the transaction, and the gold completely disappearing for you. Verified with multiple items, both listing (the first time I found this) and now direct sales to highest buying price as well. Your items will be thrown in the void ;).
  15. If you sell items, they will disappear, you will get no gold, no items, and no history of the sale happening. Stay away from listing stuff on the TP until Anet has looked into this!!
  16. With no items use-able inside and it only being one map without too many weird things, the risks of it bugging out should be very low indeed. And they can still do map refreshes like they do in normal maps. If this really is an issue though for some technical reason, good design would mean they'd prevent you from starting a track with less than 5 min left on the clock, and instead give you the option to move map at that point. The way it is right now, it's just poor.
  17. Can we get real and remove this thing already? There seems to be no reason at all for this 30 min timer to be on maps. I can't count the amount of times I got booted from the map mere seconds before finishing it. Now you can say, check the timer and remap if it's bad before you start jumping and that's all fine and dandy, but sometimes you forget. And it's kind of beside the point, because there is no reason for this timer to be there. Nobody cares about the scoring mechanism on the map, it doesn't mean or do anything, it isn't stored anywhere, rewards nothing, nobody even checks. Remove the timer please, and manage it like any other map where you just occasionally close it down and give players the option to switch out early.
  18. Regardless of lagging out, it's weird the meta doesn't reward the actual meta event, but the post bonus event instead, and you don't even need to do the actual event to get it.> @Zaklex.6308 said: Regardless of lagging out, it's weird the meta doesn't reward the actual meta event, but the post bonus event instead, and you don't even need to do the actual event to get it. You do realize the meta includes the Choya Pinata don't you? The Choya spawns only if all 3 of the tiers of coins are collected, if that doesn't happen it's a fail...there fore the Choya is the end of the "meta" and as the poster above me pointed out, the logical place for the reward chest. You get the event participation chest at the end of the third round though, that would be the logical point. The Choya is a bonus event, it's even announced as such.

  20. We all know this is not really a meta event but just something you added it to increase relevance of this event. That's all fine and stuff, but why is the reward in the Choya chest and not in the general chest you receive for participating in and succeeding at the full clear of the actual event? Not only does this mean that people who lag out in the 15ish seconds that the Choya is up (on a very laggy meta map!) do not get a meta reward, it also encourages players to not participate in the actual event at all but just leech it and wait at the Choya spawn instead, while players who do do the meta actually risk lagging out on way to the choya or when mapping there and missing their chest. There's already a chest for total event reward at the end of the 3rd round, it can't be hard to simply put the Hero's Choice chest in that chest instead of the Choya event.
  21. The Faster Than Light achievement in season 4 of living world fails to be rewarded to me. I've opened the door by pressing the 4 buttons multiple times well within 35 seconds, during the mission originally, afterwards while restarting the story, afterwards without having any story active. It just doesn't work. Is this a known issue? Are there fixxes? Or should I write a ticket to support?
  22. But the Wintersday one stays open all year round (the drink one), is that merely because it's in a different achievement category?
  23. Considering you need to consume a lot of food items (3000) to max out this title, will it update year round when you consume those particular items or only while the Dragon Bash is active?Does anyone know?Has Anet communicated about this?
  24. Upon retrying this today I can verify above fixxes are incorrect and this is STILL bugged. Now there is a new bug, where if you enter a portal off off a fresh event (one spawned at the 10 minute mark start) sometimes it will just keep porting you back to the same map until it disappears. We need this fix, this event has been here for over a month now, it can't still be bugged so fundamentally.
