Is it really? I want to play this game for the pvp, which it was intended for, but structured pvp is poorly balanced and the devs arent doing anything about it.

PVP game mode is objectively bad. The people who defend the quality of this game mode are those who enjoy playing the most broken builds. Theres no point in playing structured pvp other than to farm the legendary armor. After im done that, im never touching that disgusting game mode again. Imagine being a new player and trying pvp for the first time. Part of the reason pvp is getting less popular is because the game mode sucks. The game was made around WvW and pvp but the devs are creating a different game. Before you say anything, yeah im bad at pvp, and that is not a valid point. Just because i suck at a game mode doesnt mean its not objectively bad.

How are warriors allowed to have so much sustain, damage and that much cc all at once? what are they bad at? Then you say "oh they are weak to ranged combat"..... like no, all they do is pull out their rifle and one shot you like a deadeye would. Where is the idea that some classes are strong at certain things and other classes are stronger at other things. You dont see this concept in pvp and its masking the game unbalanced, since everyone can everything, especially warriors. This game is so frustrating, pvp just sucks. No wonder nobody wants to play it.

Gw2 Is pretty much dead to me. Until the devs fix this game mode, i cant play this game. Pvp just sucks way too much for me to enjoy. Gw2 had so much potential and the devs completely ruined it. You have to think to yourself sometime if the devs at anet even play the game. Do the devs at anet try out their balancing? With the new balance team, I expect so much from them. If this new balance team doesnt fix pvp, im telling you this game is going to die.

With the new balance team for pvp, i really wouldnt mind that at all. Even if its only 30% or 25%, that would help a lot. Then, after this damage nerf, you can calibrate all the other skills in the game to match the new power level. There is some hope, lets see what the new devs do

Described every new player on any PvP game.Its like getting hooked and OHK.O by Roadhog while playing Tracer on Overwatch. Its pointless to cry, if you wanna improve you need to suck it and learn it. About new players dying faster due to "power creep", keep in mind that things hitting hard have always existed in this game.They do indeed hit harder now, but cheese builds have existed from the whole story of GW2. Also, said new players tend to move and use cheap builds as well. PvP is embarrassingly bad, its difficult to imagine any new player enjoying this game mode. Theres so much dmg going around that a breeze from the wind could take away half your hp. Other than deadeye players, does anyone even enjoy one shooting players? If you dodge a split second too late or too early and youre chained cced and youre dead. A lot of people will say that "oh thats like, your opinion man! I Dont see anything wrong with pvp, its perfect!", but thats makes you either a troll or clueless and delusional about the state of balance of pvp. By balance i mean power creep, and power is too high right now. Ever since the HoTs patch, pvp has gone down hill, and I know im not the only who thinks that. I hope they fix their game, because to me this game is dead, since I dont enjoy pve. Will anet do anything about power creep? Its hard to tell since they rarely communicate with the community.

one shotting someone doesnt make you a good player

So I theres this ascended ring with ferocity, precision, power and concentration that im looking for but i cant seem to find. I only have a set of expertise and concentration trinkets and I constantly swap them between characaters. I think something happened to my concentration ring. I think it was accidentally deleted, which is unlikely but not impossible, or there was a bug and it got deleted somehow. Ive searched my bank many times and check the inventory of all my characters and I still cant find it. Maybe im crazy and I never had two concentration rings. Has this ever happened to anyone? What can or should I do to get my ring back? Am I going insane because ive been reading too much lovecraft?

Thief was just an example. I hate thieves in general, but I used thieves as an example to illustrate the idea that mobility for roaming in WvW is not nearly as relevant as before.

I will wait for the 30th, youre right. Maybe the underlying cause behind my frustration is that im unable to find a profession to main. Oh well, for now ill stick to playing Civilisation 6 and darkest dungeon.

Well if adding shop items is supposed to compete with wow classic i think someone made a huge error. Try wow classic, im going to try it out i already have an account there. But first i want to hear what the announcement is I wasnt very clear, my bad. What i meant to say is that companies compete with other game companies by releasing their games at the same time as other games to steal the attention from smaller game releases. AAA companies do this often and this happens if other industries too. Youre right though, I think I will try out vanilla since im stoked for it. Might not have time though since im in uni.

Why is all the new content being added to the gem store??Also, other than to compete with wow vanilla, why does anet NEED to make their expansion announcement at the same time as WoW Vanilla and why have we had such a bad content drought??Are we ever going to get a rework on WvW (mounts ruined it especially for thieves)? What upsets me about the gem stores the most, are all the beautiful skins that end up in the store and not directly in the game. Yes, you can technically buy and convert gold to buy gems, but that takes a lot of gold. A better question would be: "why are all good looking skins, whether its mount, weapon, or armor skins, in the gem store and not in game?" For example, nearly all skins that are added to the game through the gem store look much better than any other in game skin. The fact that anet adds this many skins to the gem store does take away from the development time for artists in one way or another. Another question arises from this, which is: "why would cant we have good looking skins in the game, that compete with gem store skins?" Obviously anet needs to make money, but with recent events regarding loot boxes and predatory micro transactions Im starting to hate this gem store. I find it cheap that all the best armor skins are in the gem store. So thats what i ment to say with my first question.2) so pax west is on the 30th, which explains a lot.
