  1. After watching the trailer and reading the release page, with all that this update offers with all of it's content, it may be the single greatest update to GW2 ever... I can't wait. SEASON ONE MISSIONS!!
  2. Hello, I'm waiting to use GW2 assets like images, character references, lore information, audio etc to toy around with some app building programs. Am I allowed to freely use information about guild wars 2 on making apps, regardless of if these apps are ever published to an app store or not?
  3. I reset Windows today and reinstalled the GW2 client and game straight from the website by logging in and clicking the download link. I left the game to download without any interruptions and it got to 93% and then stopped for some reason. Perhaps my internet went out or perhaps it was something else; not quiet for sure. In any case, now when I open the game client it still says that I have a little of 31 thousand files left to download and shows that it is downloading files and the files downloaded counter keeps going up. The thing is, the percentage never increases and it doesn't seem to ever finish. I have been able to play the game just fine without any issues so far. I just do not know if there really are still in fact files that have not downloaded yet or if there is some bug/glitch with the game client. Anyone else encounter this before or have any suggestions? I guess if it doesn't cause any issues then so be it, but I just don't want to run into an issue whenever it comes time to download another patch/update. Thanks!
  4. "Roller Beetle: Mount endurance is no longer set to zero when mounting up." OMG THANK YOU!!!
  5. Your post title is a disgrace to the wonderful, spoiler free community we have here at GW2 by revealing such a major plot point to all the community in your post title. I can't believe it. Thanks for spoiling the story for me and everyone else!!! ANet, where are your moderators to immediately stop something like this! Thanks for ruining my day. I'll NEVER visit the forums again because of this. Been a loyal GW2 player since beta and never have I been so upset at someone for their lake of consideration for other players and their enjoyment for the story. You forgot to use /sarcasm off. :astonished: Wait, so this whole rytlock thing isn't true? I didn't even read the post, all I saw was the title and immediately lost my mind. No, Rytlock doesn't die or anything of it. In his post, he's speaking of maybe a future for Rytlock.Oh well then I apologize. Honestly, I do, but that just goes to show how passionate I can be about the story and I just couldn't believe someone would have posted a spoiler like that. Well at least my day isn't ruined now ha.

  8. :o mind is blown! Never considered this ether. Good theory on the carrier mail for the billing.
  9. This makes sense. It would seem logical that you would have to be standing near one to use a waypoint. We as game players get the convenience of using our map system to travel even without standing next to one, but in lore and realism within the world the living beings would have to walk to a waypoint to use them, similar how in our world we have to be at a train station in order to travel to another train station via the train.
  10. Yeah, I understand what you two posted and knew all of that from season 2. What I mean is... well ok, let's suppose I'm a living character inside the Guild Wars universe. I'm currently in Queensdale no where near an active waypoint and want to travel to Rata Sum via a waypoint. How exactly would I do that, travel from a random position in the world to a desired waypoint? Do we have some sort of map/device that teleports us there, via this leyline system or what? Obviously as a player we just select which waypoint we want and our character is instantly teleported there. But how do living characters within the lore use this system. Does that make more sense?
  11. I've searched the wiki and a couple of other sources, but I was unable to locate the answer. Waypoints are obviously a huge part of Guild Wars lore, especially with season 2... I understand as a player we simply unlock the waypoint and we can just map travel to any waypoint that's unlocked, but how exactly does a character who lives in the world of Guild Wars use the waypoints? How does a person select the desired waypoint and even more so, how do they teleport to that waypoint? Has this actually been explained in the game in lore and I've over looked it, or do we not have an answer and just turn a blind eye to the logistics of how this actually works?... Side note, I do remember a quest in the original Nightfall game in Elona at the beginning where a young boy offered a quest that explained that his mother invented map traveling... Despite how strange this explanation seemed back then, it was just technically map traveling from city to city or outpost to outpost, ect... Does this little story tie into the modern lore for waypoints also? Thanks to anyone who knows the correct answer or where I can find that information just to satisfy my curiosity.
