  1. I didn't know that patch disappeared from time to time. There's always npc's farming in that area so that's quite awesome to find out! Glad to know it's not bugged.
  2. I normally grab the Cabbage Patch farm just south of Beetletun for Kryta foraging daily. However the past few times I've gone there to complete the daily, the farm has not been there. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
  3. I'd love for them to add the ability to merge old lvling scrolls for higher ones at a 2:1 ratio. So 2 lvl 20's for 1 lvl 30. So on and so forth.
  4. I wouldn't mind there to be a tournament where once a day you have to race a specific race. And you have either 24 hours or 3-4 tries to get your highest speed. After that it's all up to how well others do. And the tournament continues for a week with a 24 hour window to do each race and get your best time. Each day updates the leaderboard and say the top 20 get something at the end.
  5. I have over 20 BLSK now in my inventory and I never find enough opportunities to use them outside of purposeful waste. Anyone encounter this problem? If so, what are your solutions besides storing it for hopeful later use?
  6. I just wanted to let you all know. That this was likely the last wing that Fractal/Raid Developer Ben, and others worked on before the layoffs. I for one think they did a great job and I will miss their insights into what made these bosses fun, entertaining, and exciting. Goodbye and Farewell! Was there anyone else that we know of that left that should have their name up here, let me know.
  7. I'm pretty sure Anet has just made Mimics part of the canon. Be careful out there.
  8. Likely a possibility, I was a minute late.
  9. Did the times for the Casino Blitz Meta change? According to the patch notes it spawns at the same time, but when I went to participate in it (According to the wiki timer.) It wasn't up. Is this a bug or are the wiki timers wrong? Can anyone suggest a solution?
  10. I've only received 1 key on completion of the pre-meta events. Unless these are different events which we are referring to in which very likely could be the case.
  11. I have absolutely loved the new map introduced with Living Story Season 4. However I am noticing that when I follow an event chain, normally 3 chests spawn available to me to loot. But I only get 1 key per event completed. (At least 1 key per event that gives keys.) I find myself disappointed when I quickly run out of keys and there are still chests that I have earned but I do not have the keys for it. I would like to know if I'm missing something? Someone said in map chat that I should just run around and get enough credit to get a reward in each quest and move on without seeing each event to completion. However I feel that's a really selfish way to look at getting the optimal number of keys to loot chests with. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Does anyone else have a more ideal solution? What would you in turn change to fix this problem? I do want to say, I was surprised when I found out that there are no purchasable keys available. I figured that'd be an easy currency sink for VM and Motes. Let me know what you think!
  12. My biggest issue with the event is downtime. Downtime is fine to an extent, but to be waiting 15 minutes between each boss makes it tend to feel more boring.
  13. If I recall there have been hints at re-using old maps for quests so that they're not forced to constantly re-make a new map for certain quests or instances. I wouldn't be surprised if at least as far as location, we remain in core tyria.
  14. This is an interesting worry so i'd like to take the time to respond. Istan has been nerfed so many times it's kinda sad yes (And almost a joke.) but I don't think it negates the farm entirely.Silverwastes was nerfed similarly when it used to be the mainsteam farm. So silverwastes being nerfed is probably unlikely considering the most recent nerf it recieved was a few years ago.Personally I don't think this will affect their gemstore philosophy. While I can't be 100% sure because of the recent financial issues, they never catered to people with money since the launch and I don't think the reduction of a farm is going to cause them to suddenly shift directions. There was a brief time in which they sold boosters for gems during the launch of the game which I personally disagreed with. But to my knowledge plenty of players also thought this was toeing the line of pay-to-win and they quickly removed those boosters in lieu of acquiring them through game play and leveling up. The game existed before those farms were a thing, and there will always be the "next best" or "highest return rate." farm. Just because Istan is nerfed, doesn't necessarily mean the the whole of the game isn't worth playing. If anything the reduction of a farm will be a boon to the gemstore because those that relied on the gold income to buy gems because it was faster and easier than spending money will return to paying cash for gems. Why would the farmers that make legendaries leave the game? Legendary flipping has been around since the beginning of the game and likely will continue. My opinion is that, the small subsection of players that both buy gems with gold and real currency is in fact small. Most people who buy gems will buy gems, and most people who buy gems with gold will find other ways of paying for the gems with in game currency. My ultimate advice is that you should give this time. Concern about the future is great because it means there are people that care, but it is still speculation. The reduction of a farm could potentially be a boon or a disadvantage. It did reduce the price of many materials and help people afford to craft or make high end legendaries, but also it did reduce the return rate of casual players salvaging and doing events. (I for one saved up many ectos from when they were 40s a piece and lost a significant chunk when Auric Basin Meta Map Farming was a thing.) Also removing one farm wont negate the current other farms out there, and Istan the way it Is, i'm sure people have found a way to use the new change to the best of their abilities. TL,DR: The change of a farm likely will not affect gemstore. Those who buy gems with money don't always overlap heavily with those that farm and buy gems with gold. The status quo will likely remain the same or actually increase in gem sales with real world currency. This isn't a guarantee, and the best way to assuage that concern is exactly what you're doing. Posting on the forums, getting opinions, and hopefully someone at Anet will see this and maybe respond in kind. I hope this helps.
  15. I decorated two robots having a date behind those doors. Was able to put in the teleporting mirrors in there so now we can visit it anytime we want.
  16. There are also several rooms in guild halls (At least in Gilded Hollow and Lost Precipice) that have been blocked off. They're fully modeled rooms and my assumption was that they were intended to expand as further development of guild halls continued. But we've seen how that's worked out... :(
  17. Oh! The secret Turkey room in Ascalon Catacombs.
  18. What are your favorite secret areas in the game. Places You just loved to visit, time and time again and marvel at how great it looked and how so little people would see it because it was hidden, out of the way, or locked behind a puzzle? A few places of mine is: Disco Room in Tangled DepthsBamboo Garden under The GroveUnfinished JP in Caledon Forest (Never to be seen or accessed again.)Disappearing Djinn City in the sky in Desert HighlandsThe starry vault in the Desert Highlands. (Last room in the Dwarven Puzzle Dungeon)What're yours?
  19. Not sure if it's been stated here, but some kind of Essence of Luck eater similar to the Gleam of Sentience.
  20. Honestly I doubt they've had too many people actively complaining about it to warrant an answer or an open discussion on the topic. This forum post is only at 5 pages, which isn't much considering some of the other controversial topics like Bubbletea and the Kourna drama, and others. Even the Istan nerf has more people talking about it than this thread. Likely Gaile's final words are considered final and they will no longer respond. I'm not trying to bash Anet, but they're also not required to respond either by any means. The best we can do is continue to raise awareness, and continue to talk about it and talk to other people. Encouraging communication within the community about this issue. Keep the thread at the top as long as possible. Go to Reddit and make a post there. The issue is, people lose steam, eventually the thread will be buried along with many of the other (for lack of a better term), "outrage" posts. More people strive to post on forums when they have something negative to say. It's important to have critical discussion and debate. And that can be achieved without them responding, and frankly should be done with anything people disagree with.
  21. Does anyone have an easy workaround yet? Or is it basically devolving to making duplicates of the local.dat file still?
  22. While I understand the reasoning. I still don't agree that just because it was a cheaper solution to delete the command line arguments, that it was the right choice. Security or not. We should have other options available to us to have multiple accounts saved on the client launcher. Plenty of people talk about a drop tab and that would probably be a preferable option. It would at least provide people the convenience that we crave since this got disabled, and there's no reason why they can't update the launcher to no longer be limited to just 1 secure account and password. It's been more about convenience from what I've read, than multiboxing. Also I don't understand why this wasn't announced in the patch notes or even mentioned ahead of said patch. Left for a small forum post that most might not even be read. Outside of that, I think this is going to spur on another 3rd party software to take care of all these things for us automatically(again), anyways.Suddenly we're back to square one where the security threat is still out there but now it's completely out of Anet's hands. Even with the Two-Factor Authentication accounts were still relatively secure even if the password was stolen. That was kind of the point of Two-Factor.
  23. I know this is very Niche, but the ability to convert skins into a transmutation charge. I have a bunch of skins like chaos gloves, Krytan Armor, Auric Gloves, that are skins but I don't want to delete the skin in case I decide to use it on something. The skins are already unlocked and these just act as a very specific transmutation charge. It'd be nice to be able just to empty these out of my inventory and get a converted transmutation charge back. TL:DR Convert unlocked skins into transmutation charges.
