  1. Hello! I'm interested in finding a new guild. I'm a veeeery casual player due to family obligations but am looking for people to do more content with.
  2. Not necessarily true. In my case it was admittedly, user error. One quick way to check is in how much you paid. If you paid $99 then you bought the collection. If you paid $79 then you got the standalone.
  3. Support asked me if I wanted a refund, which I replied in affirmative. FWIW, I was able to buy the "standalone" Ultimate pack with no issues.
  4. I had this same issue and sent in a support ticket. It turns out that I had clicked the purchase the "Ultimate Collection" which also includes PoF and and HoT, which I already owned. That is why I was getting the error message about the code already being applied. They refunded my card and I was able to purchase the "standalone" EoD Ultimate pack, which is 79.99. If you paid 99.99 you were purchase the Ultimate "Collection" which inlcude HoT and PoF.
  5. My first memory was back when Map completion also required every vista in POI in WvW so that I could craft a legendary. Went in as a PVE staff ele and knew absolutely nothing about WvW. Saw a guy from my team fighting another guy and decided to help. Part way through I noticed people around me were telling me to "STOP! STOP! They're dueling!" What? I didn't even know that was a thing back then. So I stopped and apologized and told them I didn't know. I was curious so I asked if I could watch. They said "Sure." Next thing I know the other team's guy comes and wrecks me before I even knew what was going on. All of my "team mates" just laughed at me and said "Serves you right." Left a bad taste in my mouth about duelers ever since and I have no problems now "helping" my "team" out whenever I can.

  7. Same issue here. Just cropped up recently and in open world pve. My back item will disappear and will only come back if I go into the hero panel and hide then un-hide the back item.
  8. Not everyone wants to play PvP or WvW either. These "adjustments" harm us casual, OWPvE players. :( I'm not sure how? Patch notes say these changes are pvp and wvw only. My PVE build hits as strong if not stronger than ever.

I'm just annoyed because with some classes it seems clear what they envision their roles to be as far as wvw is concerned whether implicit by the available builds or explicitly in statements from the devs. This has not been the case for rangers at all. Why give soulbeast stance sharing if it isn't meant to be part of a squad? Why handicap the build if we aren't meant to roam? Why make the healing useless if it isn't effective for the zerg? Changes in and of themselves aren't necessarily bad. Changes for the sake of responding to complaints with no direction for the class is extremely frustrating.
  10. I'm going to have to think through my build I guess. I played a melee style slb in wvw with GS and axe/warhorn and these changes hit everything in my playstyle. Time to adapt and overcome I guess!

I have to admit I'm a little salty about this as this affects my wvw power build.
  12. Just out of curiosity, do you change how you command if you're leading a guild squad versus pugmanding? How, if at all, do your tactics change?
  13. I won't speak to the viability of ranger in a zerg as that has been discussed to death in other threads in this forum and the ranger forum. I'm going to answer the OPs questions directly based on my experience. My strategy is to neither play in the back or directly on the front line during the initial push. Rather I'll wait for tag to push and then join the zerg 1 to 2 tick later. By that point you've avoided the majority of the initial bomb (so you don't die immediately) and you can provide some spike damage in the ball at critical times. You kind of play similar to a daredevil. Hope in, spike, then hop right out and reset. FWIW, I play a semi tanky boonshare build (not sure if boonshare is worth that much but I figure every little bit helps). I merge with my arctodus, hit endure pain and bear stance. Moa stance, warhorn 5, axe 3, Sic'Em, One Wolf Pack, hop in, Maul, hiltbash, wordly impact, maul and hope out. Reset and repeat. I can't speak to the overall merits to this method as a whole, but it works for me and I have fun with it.
  14. Trying this profession seriously for the first time. I'm still pretty new to everything that mesmers can do. It's quite a lot to take in. In any case, here is my chrono. I was trying for a more simple look.
