Elite spec Deadeye's elite skill Shadow Meld literally just gives you 4 seconds of stealth in a 45s cool down. sPVP balance decisions are absolute trash and they need to stop ignoring this core game mode.

I love all the posts that suggest sPVP isn't the only mode that's been abandoned. There is no comparison. PVE has LW4, IBS, new Strikes, new Raid, new challenge modes, updated rewards, EOD. WVW has over a year of patch after patch world restructuring, new server infrastructure and has gotten every new stat combo, sigil and rune introduced. sPVP has literally gotten nothing since 2018. This was touted as a core game mode for years and had esports aspirations. Dont get me wrong, I know we're not getting anything amazing or ongoing. We just desperately need a serious QOL release. We'll crawl back into our toxic holes after that. Hire 10 of us as contractors and we'll BA the heck out of some changes.

I can't wait until sPVP gets years of developer time and infrastructure updates in order to figure out it's match making. Oh wait, it's just the one game mode that gets any update at all? 5 years of nothing in sPVP what so ever? That's cool. Thanks Anet. -
I'm sitting here thinking about how bad the current balance team and Anet as a whole have treated the thief class. It made me consider if there was ever a positive change to thief that I was excited about. My main and only character since beta has been a thief, 8700 hours and 17k spvp matches. The ONLY things I can think of we're adding interrupt\daze to shortbow 4 and making all venoms share by default. How about you?

It's not hard to just reverse the change. There is ZERO reason to have made it in the first place. Anet developers\balance team are terrible and they NEVER EVER listen to thief feedback from the community. We're vocal, we have good ideas, we express them well.... Nothing, every patch, every year. Nothing. This is my only character since beta and they just ghost ride it off the cliff endlessly.

This is the real injustice. A freaking elite skill on an elite spec that only gives you 4 seconds of stealth on a 45 second cooldown. You know how I know they suck at this? Shadow Meld change for spvp, what a joke of a 'balance' choice. AND THEY"RE NOT FIXING IT BECAUSE THIEF IS IN A GOOD SPOT!!!

Worst balance team yet. It's been a year and they've provided literally no positive improvements to thief. They've hacked stealth to pieces and spvp thief is 50% of what the pve thief is. Please find a new thief designer.

Please revert the spvp Shadow Meld restrictions from last patch or at least make it do more. It seriously embarrassing how little you guys work on thief. We need a lot of work and all we're getting is a buff to signets of power?

On use, reduces revealed condition by 2 seconds. It lets us 'recover' from being revealed quicker but still suffer the initiation impact mechanic.

Dropping remove revealed from this elite skill COMPLETELY in spvp is some sort of sick joke. Our elite spec's elite skill... which requires an expansion to unlock... LITERALLY.... just gives you two uses of 2 seconds of stealth. Nothing else.... Our heal skills are better. I mean, things that only costs initiative is better than this crap. I don't know anet, as far as this new balance team goes, they have no clue what they're doing and clearly hate thieves. Uh "yeah uh, thieves have an initiative problem" kitten step aside if this is the crud, you're going to give us. In the last nine months we've gotten: No stealth on steal No stealth on heal No extra second of stealth No damage reduction in stealth No healing while stealthed No initiative while stealthed No reveal removal

Well, they've released their Q1 2023 roadmap. Literally no mention of spvp AGAIN. It's so cool.

It's been more than four years since they've added literally anything new to spvp. Meanwhile, strike, CMs, fractals, raids, world bosses... everything else gets the QOL, maps, achievements, titles, armor\weapon skins. Not spvp though. It was a 'pillar' of Guild Wars 2. -
Seriously, the last three patches have ripped everything good about stealth from the game. Ridiculous. Now playing the most boring 1 button spamming class ever. This new balance team... kitten.

Anet has poo poo'd on thieves for years and years. Split sword 3, gave us preparations, removed all of our stealth triggers, drastically increased initiative cost while nerfing damage and over, and over and over. Still haven't fixed line of sight issues. Still haven't fixed projectile tracking on numerous skills. I literally can't name all of the things. I only have one character, 7.5k hours, 17k ranked spvp games, 30k achievement points. It's always just this. Wtf balance team. -
Very frustrating that it's been almost 5 years since we've had nice things. Here are some ideas I've had. Maybe you could Release a new map. Release 15 v 15 large batlle mode. Add new achievements, collections, titles. Make Shards of Glory a wallet item. Reward Ascended Shards of Glory from unranked matches. Allow different stat combos instead of the drastically reduced offering. Allow different sigils and runes that were stripped away. Have our spvp rank show on our icon and hp bar. Let us leave a 4v5 match after 2 mins, or just don't start a 4v5 match to begin with. Add a vote forfeit button when things are hopeless. Stop forcing us into a 50\50 win loss ratio. Stop bots from ruining 30% of ranked matches. Swap equipment\build templates during a death cooldown. Update the map icon so it's not just core class icons. Fix Raid on Capricorn for ranked. Fix Spirit Watch for ranked. Let us spend gems on a permanent a Champion's Rest Pass. Increase the ranked entry cap to 50 ranks instead of 25.
