I click skills on my hot bars in games. It's the only way I play. I will never use key binds. Having tool tips pop up all the time is really annoying. I will never understand why Anet doesn't add this as an option, as it does nothing to effect other players, and adds a function to the game for those that need it, same as color correction for color blind player. I have played other MMOs to high level, and never had anyone complain about my skill. I was a main raid healer in one MMO for a long time, with very high reputation in my guild as a great healer. Nobody knew or cared I was a "clicker" Anyway, thanks for the replies.

Is it possible to disable hotbar tooltips yet? I have a disability and have to click abilities in games. Many other games let me do this as an option in settings. I miss the game but can't play with tooltips enabled. This is a game breaking issue for me.

I have been asking for this feature for years. Nothing. I just got sick of it and I stopped playing because of this one issue. If it is ever added as an OPTION , I will return to the game.

Hide Hotbar Tool Tips. Everything else will be gravy.

Okay, looks like your CPU might be stuck in slow mode (there should be a switch on the motherboard to turn slow mode on/off). This is a feature to force the CPU to run at .8 Ghz on boot. You will probably need to clear the CMOS and turn slow mode off. Boot into the bios and check the CPU speed again, making sure it's not locked to .8 Ghz and save the settings. If it keeps turning slow mode on, then the CPU cooler is probably not working well, and you will need to re-seat the cooler with new thermal paste.

Okay, run the game and watch your CPU Ghz, make sure it's not throttling ( this is easier to do if you have 2 monitors) The base clock is 3.4 Ghz and the boost is 4 Ghz.

How much CPU is being used while the computer is at idle?

It's 2020 and I still can't disable tool tips on the hotbar. Being an older player with hand pain, playing with the mouse and clicking abilities has always been the only way I can play games comfortably. Many games allow me to do this, but never GW2. That's all, let me disable those and I would be a very happy camper.

It's kind of funny. Hardly anyone actually understands. It isn't my build, it's that I have a hard time moving/dodging & using abilities at the same time. It's just too much. When I have literally a split second to react and move out of multiple red rings. I don't have the skill set. Action combat is my nemesis.

I am pretty much this. I have seen games in the past add more harder content (because some players want more challenge), and they lost a large part of the player base. A friend I play with has done no content in the festival, because for him it is not fun. I feel he is slowly leaving the game, because he often also comments that the game has got harder.I suspect many players are still running builds from years ago, unaware that anything has changed, because there is no actual gear progression.Anyway, I love MMORPGs, but for me they have evolved into action arcade games, rather than worlds we explore.

I am as good as I can be, changing class/build won't make ME play better. I'm just not that good. I have played GW2 since launch, so getting better isn't going to happen.

Title says it. I am not saying the game is too hard for everyone, just that most solo encounters are really hard and I usually fail, (the later queen pavilion solo fights being completely impossible). The constant knock downs and knock backs are very aggravating, making it hard to even play my character. I am more casual and struggle with action combat, coming from more old school type MMOs. So the game has become less fun for me, and I feel the game is moving away from what it once was, and targeted more for the younger audience.
